On the front door they say they accept credit cards, but instead the do not, they only accept cash. The WiFi did not work. The room was dirty. The bathroom even dirtier. They did not have any dairy free alternative for the breakfast.

Reception guy v nice. He always help and support

I stayed for 7 nights in a row and was upgraded to a quadruple room. However, the room was quite old and a bit dusty. However, the breakfast was good and the price was affordable. The location is outside the bar street at night, which is very lively.

Unlike Valletta in the center, this is still a development area. There is construction going on around here. If you arrive at night, please check Googlemap in advance. It's a dark street with no lights on the hotel sign. It's 4 stories and the elevator is not working, so it was hard to carry a heavy travel bag. There were many convenience stores and places to eat around. However, the weekends are lively until late, so I think people who are interested may be noisy. From 2:00 to 4:00, you can hear young people screaming.

The air conditioner is 10pm-10am, it is best to get out of bed, there is no way to sleep on it, other things are okay

This is a low-cost hotel, you should know what a low-cost hotel means, yes, it does have some problems in some areas, please bring your own hair dryer, slippers. But it's handy for hot water, great location, lots of bars, restaurants nearby, 200m walk to the beach. I think the hotel did their best to provide the best possible service, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and they responded to my many requests for help. Especially the beautiful tall long haired white woman who was very friendly. The bus here is very convenient, 50 meters walk is the ross bus station, from ross you can go directly to Valletta and the airport. Thank you Tropicana for giving me a wonderful travel experience.

Everything is average

I stayed here for three nights in January 2023. You can tell it was once a decent property, but just has fallen on hard times. First off, I paid just $20 a night and I received free breakfast, for which most European hotels would charge about $7 so unlike some people, I do feel bad complaining but there was just too much that was wrong. The lobby was large and felt very quiet and empty. Staff was rather friendly. Location was good, safe, quiet, near stores, restaurants and transit. The room had a double bed, TV, wifi, adequate lighting and small patio that overlooked a large sundeck that seemed to be abandoned. Bathroom included a shower. Room was fairly clean. The heating/AC unit basically did its job but came on intermittently in a manner that I couldn't see to control. Here are the problems: The hallways are dirty and dark. The shower drain backed up within about 90 seconds of running water. After a few minutes, the bathroom started to flood. The patio door had a large gap under it and cold air poured in, forcing me to stuff a towel under it. Not a huge problem but not ideal. The bed and mattress were very old, not terribly comfortable, had no fitted sheet and I found bug bites, that given the time of year and absence of other bugs in the air, were likely attributed to it. Lastly, there was a sign posted next to the elevator saying it had been fixed and could be used. The second time I tried to do so, I stepped in, pressed '3,' the door closed but it didn't move. I pressed the button again, the lights and fan went out. I started to bang on the door, but no one responded. I pulled the doors open, which retriggered the power and the door opened. The desk clerk was still talking to her friend. I used the stairs twice after that but decided to try my luck with the elevator the following evening. Same exact thing happened but I was less frantic because I knew how to handle. Again, the price was great and the breakfast was nice but the other problems I experienced were not acceptable, very troubling and I would suggest you stay somewhere else.

The elevator was broken so we had to walk up all the stairs every day. There was mould in the bathroom. They didn't actually make the beds properly or tucked in the sheets around the mattress. Instead they just put the sheets on top of eachother so you had to figure out which to sleep on and which to cover yourself with. One day they forgot to clean our room so it was still messy when we came back in the evening. They first claimed that the room had in fact been cleaned but when I offered the woman in the reception to come see for herself she wrote a note about it to her boss. The walls are thin so you hear everything from the corridors, even on other floors. And of course you hear everything from the party area near the hotel. Good luck getting any sleep. Depending on who's behind the reception desk you might not be able to get any help at all. A simple question about how much the bus fair is was apparently too much for one of them who got irritated and referred to a website for information. I can only recommend this hotel to people who want to party in Paceville and only care about having somewhere to crash afterwards.

Everything. It was the worst hotel I have ever been in!!! The rooms were dirty, the bathroom as well. It was bad cigarette smell everywhere. We found used condom under our bed. The lift didn't work properly, we almost died there and receptionist was laughing. The receptionist barely speaks english and he wasn't helpful at all. We had moldy shower with broken doors and toilet was broken as well. The doors in our room we couldn't lock because they were broken as well. Noisy rooms. I heard everyone who passed around. The carpet was really dirty I was really afraid to step on it with my foot sleep there, we didn't feel safe there. BREAKFAST: Tables DIRTY. Mess everywhere. NOTHING to eat. Just a few slices of bread and ham and cheese. Nescaffee ( DISGUSTING! ) I was afraid to eat that only one yogurt left. I asked receptionist about some eggs at least. He told me: „ NO EGGS!“ THE dirty lobby area is as well the breakfast „LUNCH ROOM“ THE WORST BREAKFAST I EVER SEEN ! I can survive everywhere, trust me, but it has to be at least CLEAN. Cleanliness is the foundation!!!! I paid almost 250€ for this dirty, disgusting „HOTEL“

This hotel is the best location for anyone visiting Malta, Don’t listen to any other reviews, The staff are really nice, and helpful, people moan and complain for no reason, I can honestly say that I loved it here. I came To stay two nights at first, on my own, as it was cheap, But ended up staying 14 nights here, as honestly you can’t find a better hotel for the price and location.. I don’t usually write reviews, but this hotel is amazing for the price.. wish I was there now, Good staff and good location.. what more do you need

Never go to this hotel. Very bad hygiene, we found stained sheets, pillows and towels, black water coming out of the bathroom sink, completely stained floor, cigarette butts lying around and a broken door that anyone could open from the outside without a key. The whole week of accommodation they never cleaned our room or changed the sheets, among other things we were on the sixth floor and the lift didn't work, it had been broken for I don't know how many weeks. The corridors of the hotel floors are full of bags of towels and sheets on the floor. We had to buy plug adapters because they didn't have them, not even for their television and refrigerator. A SUCK!! Don't go there EVER.

really not to be recommended, everything is dirty, the shower joints have never been cleaned hotel dedicated to smokers my unused balcony was full of cigarette butts, flushing making a continuous noise, the bedding is very uncomfortable back pain guaranteed the too old or broken box springs have been replaced by planks, moreover there is no underdrawing on the mattresses and the sheets do not hold in place because they are not fitted sheets you are invariably on the mattress at the awakening. The breakfast is free but really mediocre nothing appeals, I was on the 4th floor horribly dirty and old carpet, finally the really very weak wifi does not allow you to watch or listen to a podcast and it is permanently cut , in short in this first price hotel everything is disappointing you should not pay but be paid to go there! as I need to sleep I did not finish my stay I changed hotels and I did well
