Highly recommended! We had a great stay in a comfortable and spacious room. Location is also great and public transport is close. Staff is friendly and helpful. Value for money, the price is unbeatable for Australia.

Close to public transport, overall not a bad hostel but it lacks cleanliness, the rooms and bathrooms smell bad.

I liked the quietness of the room. It was cheap. The top bunk was comfortable but unstable it moved as I was getting up. The room was crowded. No space people's belongings everywhere. The television had no batteries so you couldn't watch it. People where everywhere. The toilets where messy with flies and a lone spare button and hair the ladies and unisex. Limited charging ports. It was a disgrace. This hostel should get a award for going great to rapidly getting worse with time instead of improving. The receptionist and cleaner wasn't the originals and I liked the original workers better bring them back.

If you are finding a local job and want your cheapest stay in the meantime, then this hostel is fine. Or if you want to keep to yourself. But, Not an ideal hostel for a solo traveler on holidays. As someone looking for a vibrant atmosphere/ community I felt sad and unwelcome. French community and long term residents who all keep to themselves. Nice enough if you make an effort, but it isn’t naturally inclusive or receptive. Reception does not create a vibe with music or a welcoming atmosphere as they are never really at the desk. If you need anything it can be difficult. Kitchen is lovely and welll organised, but lacking basic amenities like cups, glasses and mugs. As someone who worked in hotels the last year I would have really appreciated the simple gesture of instant coffee or tea. Considering many hostels offer basic breakfast. 2 showers on my floor (hostel has over 100 people and only 2 floors so you do the math). Bathrooms get pretty gross with the foot traffic and could probably use a twice daily clean - but that isn’t necessarily realistic for hostel volunteers. They do a nice job of vacuuming the rooms each day and emptying bins which I appreciate. They mop the main area daily and kitchen looks lovely (until it’s destroyed at night but is to be expected). The beds I found comfy but the blankets do not have a duvet cover or a sheet to separate so we can only hope they wash the entire blanket every time ? Not bad, not great. A few small changes could go a long way.

Not clean and didn’t change the sheets This hostel was gross. It didn’t have cleaners come in to clean the communal showers or bathrooms (which are right beside eachother so the smell when you’re showering isn’t nice). The front desk staff were in charge of cleaning the kitchen but they didn’t sanitize anything just wash the dishes and wipe down the counter near the sink. Further someone in our 6 bedroom checked out and they didn’t change the sheets before the next person checked in so they slept on their dirty sheets. The common area was nice and big and good to meet people in. However, there were many older people in the common areas partying that were not staying in the hostel. I wouldn’t recommend this hostel.

The bedding did not smell good and the pillows were uncomfortable. Also the place where the private room is located you can hear all the noise from the living room so I could not rest very well. The staff was very friendly
