My partner chose this hotel. The staff were very efficient, particularly the barman in the original building. He made me several non alcoholic cocktails which were fabulous. You need to inform Google Maps of how to get to the car park. The room was bonkers. The lights were either on or off and in the middle of the night that wasn't ideal. 5 chandeliers in one room all lit at once. The bed was on a platform on a platform which was tiled. We didn't use the copper bath. The bathroom had a very slippery floor after the shower had been used. We had to lay a trail of towels to get in to use the loo safely. The shower gel had not been filled. Dinner was very nice but the menu did seem expensive. Good job I wasn't paying the bill. Breakfast was expensive too. Having written all of that we did have a giggle at the decor. It really is quite mad!

What can I say? This place is wonderful. I had booked a surprise getaway for my hubbys special birthday. The room that we had (one with a bath at the end of the bed) was wacky, crazy decor and overall brilliant. Thai restaurant was magnificent. Veggie options were given. Shoutout too Sophie. We had booked a taxi for a meal at Le manior aux Cait season and for whatever reason (don’t think it was going too turn up) Sophie immediately got in her car and personally took us. Did she have to do this? Absolutely not. Did it help to make this an even more enjoyable stay? Absolutely yes! What a credit to the company Sophie truly is. Lovely lady. Would we stay here again? Yes without a doubt. Give it a go. It won’t disappoint. Thanks everybody for a wonderful and memorable stay

We had the most incredible time at The Crazy Bear, Stadhampton. My partner booked it for my 30th birthday and he could not have chosen a better venue! The room we had was stunning and so unique (boujee) and all of the staff were super friendly and inviting. We ate in the Thai restaurant and every course was incredible. What a way to start the 30s! Thankyou for a memorable stay. We will be back VERY soon. Georgina & Aidy

We stayed 1 night for my husbands birthday. As long as you are not expecting a premier inn type hotel it’s totally fabulous. It’s not practical accommodation (no door or walls to the loo), but rich, quirky fabulousness. You wouldn’t want to stay a week but for an indulgent break it’s fun. It’s not like most people have velvet padded walls at home, and a bath that fills from the ceiling. Negative wise is the Thai restaurant is very nice, but very expensive £8.50 for a bowl of egg fried rice. And don’t get me started on the wine prices! The service was also quite slow. Staff are very friendly and the garden area is lovely Would I stay again? - probably not, but Im very glad we came and experienced The Crazy Bear

I stayed for a few days in March for business and regularly choose The Crazy Bear to stay at. Great night sleep, fabulous food and amazing staff. I was lucky enough to have a bit of sunshine so sitting in the outside area was just stunning and in the evening it's all lit up with fairy lights. It has a great area for weddings and parties so I think I may have my next big birthday there.

The Crazy Bear is all about 'that' experience which was delivered and more. From the staff that welcomed you on the reception bus to delivering you to your opulent Bougee room a short distance from the main part of the hotel / restaurants. The room was extravagant but that is all part of the 'experience', albeit it was interesting having an open plan toilet and the gymnastics we had to perform over the bath to close the blinds for privacy. We had a really comfortable nights sleep, the bed and pillows were amazing. We would have given 5 stars had there been some instructions on how to operate the lighting, bath and coffee machine and to advise when breakfast was the next morning - the latter we found on the website and the rest was down to trial and error or giving up. Thinking about it afterwards we maybe should have called reception to ask but it was late at night! The staff however couldn't do enough during our stay from the initial welcome, to pub staff, and the Oak Restaurant - their wine and food knowledge is formidable. The grounds are beautiful and the outside dining areas were lovely to walk around experiencing the different themes.

A fun and quirky place with good restaurant and bar facilities - our room was bijou but comfortable and perhaps the dark decor may not be to everyone’s taste. However we had been to a local uber posh hotel and restaurant and couldn’t justify paying £900 for the accommodation and as Crazy Bear was less than 10 minutes drive away it was the perfect alternative …!

Really enjoyed our stay. Our accommodation was clean and inviting, loved the deco. We will be back in the summer to take advance of the grounds and outdoor area, it was too cold when we went. But overall a great experience. Thank you to the great staff too.
