Filia Luxury Suites ★★★★
Iraklis Apartments ★★★
"Location particularly good, accommodation typical of this class of Greek apartments, air conditioning and safe available in addition to holiday fees. Two pools, one nearer for tourists and one for local trade. Inexpensive coach stops (twenty-nine) to Malia, Heraklion, and the rest of the Island outside. Beach, taverna, restaurant, supermarket, and bars close nearby. The locals are very friendly and helpful. Apartments run by Maria, who has fluent English and Greek. Her husband Stavros has some English. You can still get access to your room if you arrive outside hours, go to the reception door to see your welcome notice. Be aware the road outside compares to a UK double carriageway road, cross with care looking left first"
Astir Studios ★★★
"Toni and his mum are both exceptional, from the breakfast to their local knowledge. The room was spotless, close enough to enjoy the town far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. You will not be disappointed if you book here."
Kapetánissa Concept Studios ★★★
"Absolutely fabulous stay! This was our first time staying at these beautiful new concept studios in the heart of Stalis, tucked away behind Faces Bar, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been carefully thought out. The studio is modern, spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and exceptionally well equipped. It really is a home from home. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, including a toaster, kettle, full-size fridge freezer with complimentary bottled water, a filtered water tap, hob, toastie maker, coffee machine with pods, pots and pans, and thoughtful extras such as tea, olive oil, vinegar, salt and the most delicious local honey I’ve ever tasted. There are plenty of little touches that make all the difference, including an iron and ironing board, making it perfect for both short and longer stays. The bed deserves a special mention. It was incredibly comfortable, and the four luxurious pillows genuinely felt like sleeping on clouds. We both had an amazing night’s sleep every night. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Stalis, with everything you need just a short walk away, yet the studio is peaceful and relaxing. We honestly couldn’t fault our stay. The accommodation exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would not hesitate to return. If you’re looking for high-quality, modern accommodation with exceptional facilities and thoughtful touches, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!"
Zeus Hotels Palm Beach ★★★
"Stayed here May 14-23 2025. Booked through easyjet as half board and we cannot fault the hotel or it's wonderful staff. The location is perfect, right on beach, the outside veranda where you can have your morning coffee is perfect. Didn't go in the pool as we was on the beach daily but the hotel was always spotlessly clean. We had side sea view room 306. Despite being opposite lift and top of stairs, we was never disturbed by noise at any point of our stay. Bed comfy, towels super fluffy and even provided beach towels for your stay. Room cleaned most days. Room was basic with lovely balcony and view, shower was great! Staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful. Only ate breakfast as we was out in stalis every night for dinner but breakfast was great, good choice of continental and cooked. Overall, loved the hotel and staff and would choose to stay here again! Highly recommend 👌"
Dionysos Apartments & Studios ★★★
"These apartments have just been taken over in May this year by the host Eli and her family. Our room was spacious we stayed in room 14 on ground floor. Grounds and pool area kept spotless by hard working staff, we love the beach so did not eat at the apartments but all food cooked by Eli’s dad Alexandra and looked lovely. My wife and I would not hesitate to stay here again. All the best Eli and family for the future."
Heliotrope Apartments ★★★
"We cannot understand the bad reviews here. Anyone who expects a 5 star hotel for these cheap prices should question themselves. Of course this hotel is not up to date, but you have 2 rooms and either a terrace or 2 cute balconies. In general the furnishings are rather older, old Greek style... For us it had a lot of flair and we would definitely come back. The welcome and care was very warm. Lila, one of the dogs, kept coming by to say hello, which we as animal lovers were very happy about. Since this hotel is on a hill with a view of the sea (from all balconies), there are a few steps. Anyone expecting an elevator should probably book a holiday in the Maldives or something similar. Our rooms were clean. We were always helped with questions. We were even given toothpaste that we ran out of for the last 2 days... We have nothing to complain about."
Golden Bee Lifestyle ★★★
"Quiet and beautiful hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Whatever we needed, they immediately found solutions and gave us great recommendations for the island as well! The cuisine is fresh and delicious, the cocktails are very good, and thankfully they are generous with the alcohol. We would definitely come back!"
Malliotakis Beach Hotel "by Checkin" ★★★
"We had booked into a hotel which didn't suit our taste and location, so having found a room at the Malliotakis hotel we stayed here for 4 nights. Rena welcomed us and showed us the last room which we then booked. The hotel is in a lovely location right on the beachfront with its own pool, which was also lovely and warm. Food at the beach bar was lovely and the breakfast was a buffet style and very good. The location of the hotel was fab and we could just walk out and had lots of restaurants and bars right there. Rooms were spotless and clean towels each day. We really enjoyed our stay. Jiannis, Rena, Maria and Manos made us so welcome."

Eleni Beach Hotel
"This hotel is as close to holiday heaven as you can get. The entertainment keeps everyone smiling, from morning aerobics to tribute shows at night. Our keycard didn’t work properly one evening, but David personally sorted it out, walking us to reception and ensuring we got new cards immediately. The restaurant had plenty of choice each day, and the bar was a fun place to unwind after dinner. David’s presence throughout the stay made us feel well looked after."
Maria Lambis Apartments
"Just returned from these apartments. You couldn't ask for more, so peaceful, a 15 to 20 min walk to bars. A supermarket 2 mins away. There were 3 of us in 1 bedroom apartment, plenty of space for us. Housekeeper was so cheerful singing away, nice girl. Pool area is really nice, help yourself to a sunbed and chill. There's a bookcase there so you can help yourself to books. Girl on bar through the day was lovely and friendly. We had tuna sandwiches one day, very nice. Drinks a decent price. I could come back to these apartments on my own, it's that kind of place. Thank you for a lovely week, I just wish it was longer. There's no lift so if not mobile ask for low floor as a few stairs to go up. There could do with being more plug sockets, especially in kitchen area, we had to boil kettle on the floor."
Riviera Beach Hotel
"Place was amazing. Host was very accommodating, and friendly. They even offer a car rental discount for travelers - 10%, which is great. They also had an amazing fish dinner with fresh catch of the day that was top notch. Overall, amazing experience and I would recommend to any American traveler."
Amazones Villas Apartments
"Stayed here for 1 week in September. We were made super welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Natasha & Dimitris are a wonderful couple - friendly, helpful, good fun & cook fantastic food, too. You must try the amazing Greek omelette! Mika took care of us well when we returned for a late night drink. We felt so at home in this little gem & very much hope to return - Τα λέμε μετά!"
Horizon Beach
Eurohotel Katrin Hotel & Bungalows
"What a lovely holiday we have had. The room was modern and spotless, the family pool was lovely and big, the food was delicious and the staff were all so friendly. The hotel is really close to the beach and the area of Stalis had lots going on. Our children absolutely loved the entertainment team Matis and Romi who kept the children entertained every day and who genuinely loved spending time together. Also a special mention to the lifeguard Hanos who spent time talking to our boys about football and water safety. The restaurant staff were all really friendly especially the manager who came and chatted to us every day. We will be back next holiday and hope to catch up with all our favourite team members again."
Cactus Royal Spa & Resort
"Just returned from one week’s stay with a friend at The Cactus Royal Hotel & Spa in Stalis. Had a fantastic time from start to finish. The staff could not have been friendlier, food was varied, fresh and delicious. Something for everyone’s taste. The room was clean, bedlinen changed with clean towels every 2 days. Our room was on the second floor, stairs to room, no lift, but was lovely and quiet with a pool view. Beds were super comfortable. Bathroom was modern with fantastic powerful shower, with shower gel and shampoo provided. Plenty of sunbeds every day by the pools and lovely beach only a couple of minutes walk away. (The sunbeds and parasol on the beach were 18 euros!) Hotel in very nice location with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants just outside the hotel - nice for an evening stroll. The only downside was the airport. We arrived at 6.30pm and our luggage arrived on one conveyor belt with luggage from 2 other flights, so chaos with people standing 3 deep around the belt. A bit of a scramble to reach your bag! By the time we left the airport we had waited an hour and a half and then it was another hour and a half transfer to our hotel. The dining room was closed but we were left some salad and a bread roll which we ate on our balcony around 9.45pm,all quite adequate. All in all we would recommend this hotel and would return."
Cactus Beach Hotel
"Fantastic hotel, staff absolutely lovely and friendly. Animation team(pink wave) are absolutely brilliant, welcoming and fun. The quizzes are brilliant and they’re very including at the amphitheater. Always come and say hello to you and see how you’re doing, always nice to talk too them"
Minois Boutique Hotel - Adults Only
"Great location, walkable to many restaurants and beach. Excellent service and amazing breakfast!"
Soleil Rooms and Suites
Alai, Crete, a Tribute Portfolio Resort
"Booked a cheap deal on the internet and was not sure what we would get, but needn't have worried. The Zephyros Beach Hotel is fabulous! On arrival, were met with a cool drink while we checked in. Reception area cool, clean and modern. We were escorted to our room which was lovely. Again, very clean, modern and comfortable. Very comfy beds, efficient air con, balcony with view of pool and sea, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The towels and bedding in the room were changed every 2 days and the room was cleaned daily. We stayed on a half board basis. The food was always fresh and constantly being topped up. There was plenty of choice at both breakfast and evening meal. The pool area was very nice, with plenty of sun beds, and pool towels are provided. Just beyond the pool was direct access to the lovely sandy beach, again with sunbeds and umbrellas. Perhaps what made the holiday complete was the staff at The Zephyros. Reception, waiters, cleaners, all unfailingly friendly, helpful and polite. Apparently this is the first year that this hotel has been promoted in the UK. There were many guests from Holland, Germany and Poland and the Ukraine, which made a lovely international mix. We enjoyed not being part of a large British contingency. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend the Zephyros Beach Hotel. Just a quick thanks to Broadway travel, who arranged everything for us. Very efficient and helpful."
