PPBBA cute and nice bed-and-breakfast with multiple locations located in Jiufen. It is HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you CONTACT the HOTEL BEFORE ARRIVAL as the bed-and-breakfast has multiple locations and it’s hard to find them without proper direction. The streets of this town are very windy as it’s on a mountain so it’s even hard for taxi drivers to find hotel locations.
After I contacted the hotel, they were able to pick me up from a random spot that I got lost and direct me to my room. The room was very nice, very big, clean and located very close to the old street about a five minute walk up some stairs and also very close to family mart and 7-Eleven for all your needs.
Only thing is I would like if the hotel could provide more towels, hand towels, face towels would be nice. They only provided two full body towels, but other than that great place highly recommended because of its convenience in the area and the friendliness of their staff who also spoke English. 😊 they also provided a nice breakfast that was delivered to your room whenever you wanted in the morning.
They are also super great at providing a map of the town and giving you all the tips for your stay and telling you where to eat and the hours of these places.

NNguyen Do Nha UyenAfter coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time.
Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊
Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away.

⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen
Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe.
Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃.
🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden
This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy)
Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here.
If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️

GGuest UserI sold towels for $30 as a disposable, but I didn't know how many I would use while staying for two days, so I went to the market and bought a towel for $50 and used it. I couldn't use wifi in bed for one day.
Other than that, the location was good, clean and nice.

来来之外星来地球旅行I was very satisfied with my stay here. The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and dining, with plenty of amenities nearby. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient with both check-in and check-out, and patiently answered all my questions. The room was clean and tidy, with good lighting and ventilation. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a sound night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless, well-stocked with toiletries, and had consistent water pressure and temperature. The soundproofing was good, so it was quiet at night with no disturbance from noise. Overall, the atmosphere is warm and elegant, and the facilities are well-maintained. It offers great value for money, perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

Uu-kamoIt's about a five-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, but you may get lost at first. Jiufen is a hilly town, and even to get to the inn you'll need to climb several stairs and slopes. Also, due to the large number of insects and cats, bringing a carrier is not recommended.
The owner was very friendly and explained how to get around Jiufen and what to be careful of. Because the inn is a converted private home, the walls are thin, and the footsteps of guests upstairs were quite noticeable during my stay. There were also a few insects in the room. The hot water is strong, but it takes a while to heat up. While I wouldn't recommend this inn for those with sensitive skin, the view from the inn was beautiful.

GGuest UserThis hostel is located at Tamsui, a tourist hot spot. Tamsui is at a river tribuary and has a lot to offer including a ferry to Bali. Th he setting of this hostel is very good and creates a welcome atmosphere. There is eating area at ground level and free to use washing machine at 6th level. On 6th level there is another common area. Wash rooms are well maintained. I rank 5 out of for cleanness of this hostel. The only thing happened to me only during my stay. There are several bed rooms in the hostel. I think the staff tried to group Chinese and westerners separately. So although i have a canadian passport i was placed among the local Chinese. I like mixed people together better for personal safety reason. Maybe the staff got reason to do so, but i was mismayed. I should have probably tell me although i did not tell.

Walking distance to the city's major attractions and hiking trails. Good option if you don't expect luxury. A little difficult to find and the hotel staff is not always available at the reception.

台台中阿源The reception staff was very friendly. I didn't have dinner there. The equipment was a bit old. Breakfast was available the next day, but it was simple. There was nothing special to order. I had thick slices, boiled eggs, and tomatoes that day. The air was pretty good.
