3-Star Hotels in Yamanakako

Was pleasantly surprised that there was van pick up service to bring us up to the hotel from the main road ! This needs to be shared in case anyone avoid booking due to location. The team (driver , recep) all were very friendly and helpful, thank you for the service

We booked a mountain view room. When we opened the window, we could see a forest. We could barely see Mount Fuji through the gaps in the forest, so we didn't really need to worry about the mountain view or anything else. The quilt looked old, but it was still clean. There is a free hot spring, the pool is not big, and it is on the second floor.

The hotel is located just by the lake side, close to the bus station, and also provides plenty of places for parking. The owners are very friendly and warm hearted. They are ready to help from early morning to night. The room is of traditional Japanese style. It is my first time to try this type of room but I can sleep very well here. It is very quite at night. And you can have a good lake view for some rooms. I will definitely consider stay here next time when I travel to Yamanakako. ご馳走様でした！

This hotel is located right by Lake Yamanaka. You can see Mount Fuji across the street from the entrance, and the hotel also offers bicycle rentals. It's about a 10-minute bike ride to Hirano Beach. Getting here is convenient; you can take a direct bus from Tokyo to Yamanakako Asahigaoka Station, and the hotel owner even provides pick-up service from nearby stations around Lake Yamanaka. The hotel has an old-fashioned inn feel, but it's very clean, and the rooms are incredibly spacious! It was very quiet at night, so I slept really well overall. The breakfast was also excellent – what could be better than a hot breakfast after watching the sunrise on a cold morning?

Admittedly, the facilities are quite old, so while the hygiene is acceptable, it can't compare to a standard hotel. However, the location is absolutely superb. The old gentleman running the place is very kind and even recommended local eateries and bike shops. For this price point, it's an ideal choice, and I'd definitely stay here again if the price remains the same.

Definitely one of the best stays during my Japan trip so far. The host Leslie was super friendly and welcoming, he walked us through everything we needed to know and even gave us a little tour of the place. The highlight for me was definitely the three different types of onsen (something I was really looking forward to!), and the rooms were clean, spacious, and really comfortable. He even drove us to the nearest convenience store when he found out we hadn’t had dinner yet, which was such a kind gesture. Breakfast the next morning (Western-style) was amazing too. Would 200% come back again!

The price is low and it's convenient to watch the sunrise, so I'd still recommend it. **Location:** It's a 7-minute walk to Yamanakako Hirano no Hama, and 3-4 minutes to Hirano Station, where there's a 7-Eleven right next to it. **Facilities:** No elevator. The room doesn't have a private toilet, mirror, or wall-mounted air conditioner. There's a small heater that blows warm air, but it has a strange smell. The second floor has no heating, so it's quite cold when going to the public restroom. The central fireplace in the lobby on the first floor is a bit warmer. The women's bath on the first floor is small but has hot water, which was very comfortable after soaking in the middle of winter. However, after bathing, I noticed my body smelled strongly of disinfectant. **Breakfast:** When checking in, I chose 7:30 AM for breakfast. After watching the sunrise, I had enough time to come back and pack my luggage. It was about 70% filling, but you can add more rice yourself. You need to return the tray after eating. **Environment:** The entire building had a strong gasoline smell, which was the hardest part for me as I dislike the smell of gasoline.

This hotel does not have air conditioning. When the local temperature exceeds 28 degrees, choose carefully. It is estimated that the probability is not large. The toast is very crisp and it is more warm and delicious than other hotel breakfasts. The environment is very good, personally like it, there is a kitchen, refrigerator, suitable for a few more days on vacation. Go out and walk for 10 minutes to walk to the lake to shoot Mount Fuji. I also encountered a small 🦌 on the road. It was very cute and there should be many animals nearby. It's dark at night, don't go around.

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, but it is no problem if you travel by car. The design and decoration of the hotel are very fashionable, clean and tidy, the surrounding environment is quiet, and you can see deer, kittens, etc. The hotel has two private hot springs for bathing. You can use it by making an appointment with the staff. The basic ladies' toiletries are all available, and the hair dryer is from Dyson✨ The hotel staff were very helpful and patient. I had a problem with my car when I was traveling by car. I needed to call the local police and get a report for insurance compensation. Thanks to the staff who always helped me communicate in Japanese, it made things a lot easier and saved me a lot of worry. 👍All the staff are very helpful. Although I only stayed for one night, I felt very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. Although Lake Kawaguchi is more popular, Lake Yamanaka is also good. It is close to Shiratorihama and you can have close contact with many swans😆
