This studio apartment in the heart of Northport is within walking distance to everything you'll need. Two bar/restaurants and a boutique bowling alley are across the street and within one block you'll find a public beach on Northport Bay, the public marina, a grocery store, an additional restaurant, quaint shops, the post office, a bank, and a craft beer brew pub. This is the perfect place to experience life in a small town!Additionally, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, boats, bicycles and other summer fun items are available from a rental business located next door. Enjoy your water sports in the bay (a half a block away) and bike around town or down many of the scenic roads in the area. (Which is pretty much all of them!)On the Northwest corner of the village is the Northport Creek Golf Course, winner of the Golf Digest 2015 Green Star Award. It is a public, 35 par course designed by Jerry Matthews.The Willowbrook Mill wedding venue is just two blocks away.The apartment is tucked away down a hill and behind a garage at the back of the property and can't be viewed from the street. East facing windows provide beautiful sunrises with partial views of Northport Bay.Please keep in mind that being in the center of town may occasionally mean hearing some of the hustle and bustle that comes with village life. (Although we have very considerate neighbors!) For example, on Friday evenings throughout the summer, the "Music in the Park" performances, which play genres such as jazz and folk music among others, can be heard from on the property. Performances end at 9:00pm.Sit out in the yard and enjoy the music, or grab the totable lawn chairs provided and head down to the gazebo at the park to enjoy the music with the rest of the community. The area around Northport is known for scenic vistas of Grand Traverse Bay, Lake Michigan, orchards, vineyards and natural areas.Visit the Northport/Omena Chamber of Commerce page of FaceBook for a list of events and additional information on the area.Some local businesses may change their hours of operation frequently. Cedar Post is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin that can accommodate up to 4 guests, ideally two singles, a couple, or a couple with a small child.
