TTeacher GeThe location is super convenient, right across from Union Square. The room isn't huge but it's enough, though the central AC is old and only goes up to 68°F. Late February in SF is quite cold, and I ended up catching a cold. I had to wear a light down jacket and pile on blankets. The staff were all very polite, and luggage storage was free. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. Heading east from the hotel, the main cable car line is easily accessible. I stayed for five days, using two lines back and forth, and bought two 3-day Muni passes. It served as both my commute and a way to explore all the attractions along the way. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. There are far fewer homeless people to the east of the hotel; I wouldn't recommend heading west. Overall, the value for money in this area is quite high!

GGuest UserI had a trip with my family in SFO, and stay in chancellor hotel for 3 nights, due to some booking issues, I was unable to check in properly, the staff of chancellor who help me out especially VIVIAN, she was very kind and patient to help me step by step , and finally solved my problems, I was very appreciated ! Other staff are also very nice and friendly, overall we are very satisfied with our stay, I will definitely introduce this hotel to my friends and come back again. I will rate this hotel as 5 +star!!!

EErbasOur stay at Nob Hill Hotel was unexpectedly great.
Although it’s a little far from Union Square, the walk was very tolerable. What really stood out was the free unlimited water and coffee available 24/7, which was a huge plus. The hotel also has a very unique lift and a charming, distinctive style that added character to our stay. Overall, a pleasant surprise and a comfortable experience.
We would also like to commend the helpfulness of Emmanuel, who assisted us during our stay. He is very kind and accommodating, and his warm service truly made our experience even better. We will definitely come back and even cancelled our other hotel booking so we can return again after our visit here in Hollywood.

Even in May, there is heating when it is cold.
The second time I stayed in the hotel, I was reminded to ask for a quiet room. It was very quiet. Even though the view was sacrificed, the room was very quiet.
The only drawback is that the hotel elevator is too slow, but it is not a big problem.

GGuest UserMy wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn San Francisco Golden Gateway. Among all the Holiday Inn hotels we’ve stayed at, this is definitely one of the best.
The location is very convenient. Within a few minutes’ walk, we could easily get fresh groceries at Whole Foods Market, which was a big plus. The hotel’s breakfast also offers a wide selection of food, making it a great way to start the day.
Public transport is another highlight — buses are easily accessible on foot, which makes the whole city feel much closer and very convenient to explore from this hotel.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We especially appreciated the higher-floor views of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money in San Francisco. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

It’s a good option for solo travelers—I found the reception staff to be very friendly and helpful. I did have an issue with noise in my room, but after I requested a change, they were quick to assist and even let me choose from a few other rooms. Just a heads-up: the bathroom amenities are basic, so make sure to bring your own toothbrush. Also, the walls between rooms aren’t very soundproof, so you might hear noise from neighbors.

My room was very spacious, featuring a separate, fully-equipped kitchen, which was incredibly convenient for preparing simple meals or reheating takeout. There's a small supermarket directly across the street that stocks fresh fruits and vegetables. The hotel provides a simple Western breakfast (bread, coffee, or tea) and complimentary wine and cookies in the afternoons. While you may encounter homeless individuals in the surrounding area, this is fairly typical for urban centers.

GGuest UserFirst night was a nightmare next to the Elevator, even when I request with anticipation here from Trip.com App Not to be near to the elevator. I made my checking after nine 9pm and I felt like it was a punishment for the fact that they gave me the worst room of All rooms there! Not a view, Cold and the elevator noise was a nightmare! In my last and second night, I was ready to walk out… When they informed to me that finally they had a better room to offer me, and away from the elevator… It wasn’t so far at all, but at least I could sleep better. So I will not recommend this hotel for business class, but for touristic purposes yes, it will be ok.

GGuest UserThe heater wasn't working properly so we asked for help and was told it was automatic, but the room was still cold. On the second day we asked for the heater to be turned on, but it only lasted a few minutes, so we asked them for an electric heater.
