GGuest UserThe Palm Riverside Boutique (Also the Palm River Boutique on Grab), is a lovely hotel with excellent south facing balconies (on the top 3rd/4th floors) that overlook the river. Lily is wonderful, incredibly kind! From preparing us an early breakfast to take away with us for our flight (because we left before breakfast would start), to daily fresh breakfasts you order the day prior, to even changing our sheets one extra time after one of our children had an upset stomach and threw up on the bed after an afternoon nap. The pool is small, and beautiful, with lovely seating around it and a dining area that is right next to it as well. The overall facility has a beautiful architecture that mixes indoor and outdoor space, and collapsable glass door/walls that allow for the entire balcony to be open to the living space (in the top floor room). Location wise, they have an excellent map that highlights places to eat within 500m of the hotel, they offer bicicycles free for patrons to use (one bike even has a child's seat, and others have foot pegs for doubling up), they offer assistance with booking cars/boat trips/flights/airport pickups etc. etc., and they are about 700m south of the public beach!
Sidenote:
- The facility does NOT have an elevator, so if you are mobility impaired, be sure to request a 1st floor booking!
- Because there's no elevator, there is a very cool winch they have on the top floor to bring luggage up/down to the desired floor! My children (and I), were delighted with using/watching it being used!
- The public beach to the north is fairly priavte/secluded, so there aren't a lot of shops/vendors at the beach. Make plans to bring snacks/food or to go somewhere a bit farther (200m ish) from the beach to get your food/drinks!
- We *really* loved eating at the An Gia house restaurant about 500m from the Palm Boutique. Great food, incredible space, family owned.

GGuest UserAdvice to anyone that reads our feedback. YOU MUST STAY HERE!We walked around the market, the town, the beach, etc., both during the day and at night, for a total of 40,000 steps! It was good exercise. We recommend the boat ride and the lantern floating.

CCN Man 420We came as x2 couples but could have very comfortably had a third couple as up stairs there are x3 bedrooms all with their own private shower, toilet and television. There is a 4th bathroom downstairs where you also get a large kitchen with all the utensils needed for cooking eating, a big dining room, and living room. The deck is a nice size with a small private pool outside, which has a deep / shallow end.
The place is brand new, modern, clean and for us was a great location. I'd recommend you rent a scooter or car because you are more than a walk away from the beach and old town. Via scooter, you're 3 mins away from the beautiful beach and about 10mins from the old town. There are a couple of good coffee shops just at the main entrance of the villas as you walk out to the right. We only found them the last day and had to rely on Grab delivery some mornings.
The landlady Rocy went above and beyond to help us enjoy our 7-day stay. My gf got food poisoning from some street food and was in major pain one night At 11pm I asked Rocy where to get medicine, and she immediately brought us some without question. She helped us stock the villa with groceries before arrival and got had scooters waiting for us as well which made everything so much easier.
If you and some friends or your bigger family is planning on staying in HoiAn, I highly recommend this rental!

I recently stayed at the Tran Family Hostel in Hoi An, Vietnam, and I had a wonderful experience. The hostel staff was incredibly helpful and assisted me in organizing trips to My Son and Hue, which went smoothly without any issues. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed their outdoor swimming pool.
The location of the Tran Family Hostel is just a 5-minute walk from the city center, making it extremely convenient for exploring the vibrant streets of Hoi An. The hostel's proximity to various attractions, markets, and restaurants allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local atmosphere.
The rooms at the Tran Family Hostel are modern and spacious, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment for guests. The highlight was the super comfy bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The cleanliness and upkeep of the accommodation were also commendable.
One of my favorite amenities at the Tran Family Hostel was the outdoor swimming pool. It provided the perfect spot to unwind and cool off during hot Vietnamese afternoons. The pool area was well-maintained and added an extra touch of relaxation to my stay.
All in all, my time at the Tran Family Hostel was fantastic. The staff's assistance in organizing trips to My Son and Hue ensured a hassle-free and enjoyable experience. The convenient location, modern rooms, and comfy bed added to the overall comfort of my stay. I highly recommend the Tran Family Hostel to fellow travelers visiting Hoi An.

HhollysmithA great home stay, they have multiple rooms and run it a little like an Airbnb or hotel but still keep the family touch behind home stay experiences. Family is kind, attentive, and great to chat to even with language barriers.
Free bicycles to use which is great because it’s a bit of a walk or cycle into old town. We think it’s a good distance but cycling shortened it. They do laundry but we didn’t use. They also have a dog who is a funny character.
To note for guests who are particular: Some things were a bit unclean in our room which is why we put 3/5. Amenities were good but shower head has a mind of its own and water temp is high (great and unusual for the surrounding properties we stayed in, but careful for unexpected water angles). Room also smelled damp and it was hard to get rid of smell. If this was a hotel it would be not acceptable, but given it’s a home stay we didn’t make a fuss. Just including in the review as homestays really range.
