I stayed at the Executive Inn in Newcastle recently, and while the overall experience was pleasant, one incident stood out. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed, and the facilities, including the pool and on-site dining, were excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming upon check-in.
However, during the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off unexpectedly, and all guests had to evacuate. We were stranded outside for about an hour with minimal communication or updates from staff, which was frustrating and uncomfortable. While I understand such incidents can happen, a clearer protocol or faster resolution would have been appreciated.
Aside from this disruption, the stay was comfortable, and I would consider returning, hoping this was just a one-off occurrence.
