It's rare for me to write a review, but good hotels deserve to be discovered by more people! A very relaxing and unforgettable experience. This place is perfect for aimless wandering and enjoying the pastoral atmosphere. Eat fresh vegetables at the farm restaurant and watch the lambs. Several scenic spots make you feel like you're in Monet's garden. Listen to music and watch the sunset in the evening. Your heart will instantly find peace. Although its family-friendly facilities aren't as extensive as some big hotels (I suggest improvements! High chairs and children's amenities could be better). The people, service, and environment here feel like a warm home in the countryside. Very cozy. I stayed for four days and didn't want to leave. I'll definitely come back.

This was my first time visiting Moganshan, and I booked the Shangpo B&B based on Ctrip's ratings and reviews. I was really impressed by the welcome letter, which showed the owner is cultured and thoughtful, and it immediately heightened my expectations for this 'paradise on earth'... The B&B is nestled amidst mountains and bamboo forests, with a three-story, reddish-orange Tuscan-style exterior that exudes a vintage charm. It feels incredibly exotic being surrounded by the bamboo sea and mountains. The environment here is serene and peaceful, truly a 'paradise away from the hustle and bustle' as described in the welcome letter. The room was clean and elegant, offering mountain views right from the moment you open the door. Every detail exuded a subtle luxury. My favorite part was the artwork in the common areas – several Picasso-esque paintings by Dutch artists, paired with light luxury, simple European furniture, creating a striking visual contrast between modern and vintage that sparks a unique aesthetic romance. Both the Chinese and Western meals here were incredibly delicious, fresh, and exquisitely prepared. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner could all be customized to guests' requests; it truly felt like everyone was a VIP. The service at the B&B was also outstanding. Coffee and mineral water were provided free of charge and unlimited throughout the day! The housekeeper was warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive to every request. This is, without a doubt, the best-serviced B&B I've ever stayed at. I will definitely be back!

Our two-day 'retreat' with my mom and grandma has come to a perfect end! A big thank you to our butler, Xiao Liu, for the thoughtful arrangements. He upgraded our rooms and every meal was delicious. The elders in my family are always so happy when they're in a natural, mountain setting. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed – we didn't have to prepare a thing. Plus, there were charging stations for our electric car, so all we had to do was relax. We'll definitely be back!

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

A fantastic experience! The service was excellent. The environment was truly beautiful, but due to its location, there aren't many dining options nearby, so a car is essential. This was a bit inconvenient for us as we're not very confident drivers. On the other hand, the hotel's restaurant had amazing food and a great ambiance! I've already recommended it to several friends on social media. My suggestion for the hotel would be to improve the in-room amenities such as the mini-bar, refrigerator, wine glasses, ice bucket, and tea set. Otherwise, it's hard to store any food or drinks you bring back.

I literally hate when I book a room looking at the picture and get something different in reality. I’m a fan of hotsprings , and when I planned this little getaway with my husband, the room with a private outdoor soaking tub caught my eye. According to the photos on Trip.com , the room had a spacious terrace and a cozy corner soaking tub. When we arrived , they gave us some middle room and the soaking tub was right next to neighbors’ one, separated by a short see-through fence, as if we were supposed to bathe all together. When my husband pointed this out to the front desk , they made up some excuse how all the rooms have the same photo on the website and how they can’t change our room saying someone already booked that better room. I can’t confirm but I had a feeling they were lying because I never saw anyone on the terrace of that room. This unpleasant experience aside, the hotel territory is lovely , they have a glamping area and the swimming pool. Very suitable for families to enjoy . We had a dinner in their restaurant and it was delicious . The Chinese traditional breakfast was included in the room price , it was very fresh and good as well. So in the end I’d still recommend this hotel but if you have a choice better not come during national holidays .

This is a place where we intentionally come for. Since my husband was so fond of Tang Dynasty related things, he just search anything related to it. Then this Tang inspired hotel catches his eyes. It was located a bit far from the city proper, we came along from Shanghai straight to Changxing through high speed train then ride Didi to this Changxing Datang Gong Cha Vipusea Hotel （长兴大唐恒力酒店）, located near mountainside, due to its location in Gong Cha - the famous tea plantation. Just at the back of this hotel there's a well-known area called as Datang Shi Er Fang (大唐十二坊）and the Changxing Da Tang GongCha Tea Museum. This hotel itself has a lot of room styles. At first we book for the Guipu Courtyard Family Suite, just to see the interior, the design is intended for a family with small kids, there's a separation tatami area where you can relax, watch TV, and a small Teepee for kids to explore. For our 2nd day, we try for their Guipu Garden View Double bedroom, the room a bit smaller but already good enough for 2 persons. During our stay, we were assisted by 小宋。He was so helpful all through out during the 3 days 2 nights. The restaurant staffs are all very well rounded. Overall this hotel is worth visiting.

I brought my family here for a relaxing and therapeutic four-day, three-night getaway in the mountains. The customer service representative added me on WeChat, and communication was prompt and friendly. Our accommodation was upgraded to a villa room with a terrace. Waking up to the lush green mountains outside the window, listening to the birds and cicadas, was incredibly soothing for both mind and body. The hotel is located within the scenic area, so we could drive directly up the mountain without needing to transfer to a park shuttle bus, which was much more convenient for traveling with elderly family members. There was absolutely no need to leave the hotel during our stay. Every morning, we'd take a walk along the pedestrian paths in the scenic area, then come back to read, scroll on our phones, or nap on the terrace – it was a truly immersive and healing experience. We had all three meals at the hotel restaurant. One day, we ventured out to try a nearby restaurant for a change, but the noisy environment, disposable plastic cutlery, and high prices made us realize the hotel restaurant offered much better ambiance and service. After that, we decided to stick to dining at the hotel. The hotel's decor has a Republic of China 'old money' style, perfectly blending Chinese and Western characteristics, with quality evident in every detail. Overall, my family and I were very satisfied with our stay, and we look forward to returning in spring and autumn to enjoy the different scenery.

房间干净，风景好，但服务、体验感、性价比一般。 This place is designed for the 'gram, not the 3000 RMB/night experience. The room is beautiful, you've seen that already, but here's my genuine experience that I hope helps set your expectations. Overall, bare minimum service. There is no proper front desk reception, and I had to remind them to set up the butler group chat the day before arrival because there were no instructions. Upon arrival, the main door was locked. Someone eventually came and brought my luggage up to the room, and that was it. No friendly chats, no personal touch, no estate introduction or tour, no other instructions, just a few pre-set WeChat images. The butler is quite responsive on chat but often provides incomplete answers. Service at breakfast was cold. No one welcomes you when you walk in, and there was no proper introduction to what was available. There was only one staff member at breakfast. He eventually came over and asked which main dish I'd like. There was no mention of Western vs. Chinese options until I overheard someone else's order. Most of the time he was standing at the kitchen entrance using his phone loudly, which made it hard to get his attention. The loud phone noise made the experience quite unpleasant, as I was hoping for a relaxing, quiet breakfast. Food options are very limited for a solo traveller. I ordered ******* for every lunch and dinner. I was quite hungry in the late afternoon and looking forward to the savory snacks in the afternoon tea set. I ordered them to my room and was told the ”chef had a family emergency” and could not prepare the fries and popcorn chicken, though I later saw someone else having the complete set in the lobby. :/ I saw another review a few months back giving feedback that there was no floor mat near the hot tub area. Even though they always respond to negative reviews the same way, saying they will improve, the problem was unfortunately not fixed. You only have one floor mat at the shower area and have to remember to bring it across the room to the hot tub area, or you'll be dripping wet on a slippery floor when you exit the tub. Soundproofing is bad. There is a road right next to the room, and you can hear occasional cars passing by. During my stay, farmers were harvesting bamboo, and you could hear the loud truck engines (which sounded like excavators) and them talking loudly. Mad respect for farmers, just highlighting the downside of the location that you dont see in the nice photos. The whole experience was strange because it felt like other guests were there for photoshoot over an actual hotel stay experience. You could see beautifully dressed ladies posing at every corner of the estate. Nothing wrong with that, just not something I'm used to. The experience is not without positives. The room I stayed in 【云渌】 had an insanely beautiful view, which was what I came for. It directly faces the bamboo forest and mountains. On good days, you'll probably be able to see a nice sunset. The room was clean and had great, thoughtful amenities, including Le Labo toiletries, a small pack of laundry detergent, eye masks, earplugs, and a Dyson hairdryer, to name a few. I also loved the huge private balcony it came with. I was really looking forward to this stay, but coming from another 民宿 I absolutely enjoyed, the service here was a stark contrast. This place has so much potential if they could brush up on the professionalism of the service crew to match the aesthetic and pricetag. I sincerely wish them well and hope the service can be improved.

My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep. However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.
