Mecure, time to lift your game!
It’s summer in Japan and the swimming pool is empty & closed.?? Surrounding landscaped areas not well maintained.
Rooms & corridors delight you with a musty aged smell that takes time getting used to.
Positives:
View of surrounding coastline excellent, sunrise beautiful.
Room’s good size. Buffet Breakfast decent with options
Afternoon & Evening free snacks & drinks a bonus.
Negs:
Customer service adequate but can’t say a lot of enthusiasm.
Room & corridor’s musty
The place needs renovation
Need car for access hotel.
No pool operating in summer???
Enjoy fresh tuna caught at Katsuura Port!
A hot spring inn with a spectacular ocean view

It took a long time because I went by train from the suburbs of Osaka, but there was nothing around the hotel, and on the contrary, it was good to be able to spend a leisurely time in the hotel.
The Viking is the best anyway. The hot springs were also very clean.
I enjoyed the cartoon corner and the table tennis corner, and I enjoyed only the hotel without sightseeing, but I was satisfied.
I definitely want to go again.
