"The Riverwalk Plaza was a beautiful, historical hotel.
The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful with all questions and concerns. It’s walking distance to the Riverwalk which is a HUGE bonus. There is also onsite dining options. I had the best blueberry latte I have ever had at the cafe on location. The next time I find myself in San Antonio, I will definitely be staying here again!"

From the moment I arrived it was such a great experience. The valet although being busy and taking longer than expected I was attended to well and when I left one of the valet members remembered my last name which was appreciated. The room was nice and roomy for a solo travel. I liked the balcony that came with my room. The only thing that irked me slightly was after the doors closed at midnight I was asked twice if I had my key card. I was also asked if I was a guest. I understand security reasons but I felt like it was quite unnecessary to be asked multiple times and it made me feel uncomfortable.

They will charge you a destination fee but then give you back for your to consume at the hotel for food and beverage. The steakhouse downstairs is quite good as well as the roof top bar. Althoug the cement in the room is quite rough but they provide thick slippers. Good for the climate there I guess.

Overall a nice property. Great river walk location and lots of on-site food & beverage options.
Valet is $50/ night (probably standard rate).
I was able to receive a upgraded corner room on a high floor, because of my Hilton member status.
Accommodations were okay.
Power outlets didn’t work.
Fridge wasn’t working properly either.
Shower floor had a weird shower matt inside, wasn’t pleasant.

This is a lovely hotel with a fabulous breakfast. It is steps away from San Fernando Mission, The Alamo and of course the Riverwalk. The rooms are very clean and the Customer Service Staff is excellent. The adjoining hotel has a rooftop bar which is a must for great sunsets. You can get the Trolley on the San Fernando Mission plaza and it's a good way to see the City with 2 day pass.

Guest UserIt is located quite close to the Riverwalk. I think it was about a 5 minute walk to go boating. I also stayed with children and it was great that the floor was not carpeted.

Guest UserThe Maveric was very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need and is located within walking distance to the Riverwalk and many restaurants. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bianca went above and beyond on helping us get an extra room for my Father and gave him a key fob to help him with access to the hotel and his room. She was so friendly and treated us like Family. The bar tender at the lounge in the hotel was super nice. They also have a comedy club in the hotel. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends and family.

I was very well received, welcomed and cared. The maintenance of the excellent rooms, 24h. I had a problem in the bathroom valve. It was immediately exchanged for a new. And they have already exchanged the shower shower too. A reception staff member, wonderful, room, cleaning, comfort, everything great, and breakfast idem.

If they had room service would have been perfect. My 4 year old loved the kiddie and regular pools. Breakfast was fine and lids under 5 ate for free. The Spur restaurant food and beer selection were great too and prices were decent. Great location to Sea World.
