The SaltBrush Casita is a 740 square-foot two-bedroom retreat tucked beneath cliffs less than a half mile from the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Completed in 2025, it provides comfort, breathtaking scenery, and solitude within a five-minute drive to Escalante town.Blending with the native landscape, the Casita is a two-bedroom art-filled refuge built around a great room with soaring 18-foot ceiling. The plush sofa sleeper and comfortable armchairs are arranged around enormous windows framing the National Monument and the red cliffs of Boulder Mountain. The full kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare meals when not dining out. It has quartz counters, a dining table, fridge, and stainless steel appliances, including a range, microwave, and dishwasher. We also provide a Nespresso machine with coffee pods, tea kettle and tea, French press, toaster, cutlery, cooking utensils, stainless steel cookware, and barbecue tools. Spices, oils, vinegars, and sugar are in the cupboard. We even provide snacks and cold beverages. Most of the stoneware is made by Brett, the owner and an Escalante potter who has a studio on the property.  The separate main-floor bedroom has a cozy queen bed with soft Pima cotton sheets. Wake up to the view of the morning sun climbing the cliffs that rise directly behind the house. There are plenty of hooks to hang your clothes and gear.The full bathroom is a great place to clean up after a day exploring. The bathroom has a tub, shower, Toto bidet, plush cotton towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, hair dryer, full-size washer and dryer, and laundry detergent. A spiral staircase takes you to the open loft which overlooks the great room. The loft has a full-height ceiling and its own bank of huge windows, providing panoramic views of the Monument and our famous high-desert landscape. Sleep beneath Pima cotton sheets in the comfortable queen bed. There’s also a closet for your clothing and gear.The shaded patio is nestled next to giant boulders at the base of the cliffs. Private level of home Located on a private 15 acre ranch with two beautiful rivers. Restaurant (the north creek grill) is within walking distance in the property. The retreat is a three bd 2 full bath with kitchenette and living room and is located on the bottom level of our home. Only equipped with mini fridge and microwave. Griddle and hot plate provided but no oven or stove. We are a family of five who live above the rental space you will hear some noise but not a lot.We are on a privately owned ranch that backs up to huge cliff walls and looks out to the river. Guests have there own private access. Outdoor table and chair area with BBQ. 2 rooms have a king sized bed the 3rd room has a double bed. There is one twin size rollaways stored in the living room closet. The kitchenette is stocked with griddle, toaster, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and all utensils. I do always have coffee provided. Outdoor patio , kitchenette, 3 bedroom 2 bath plus living room. Bottom level of home. Separate private entrance.. We usually meet our guests but on occasion we don't cross paths. Feel free to explore the ranch and go down to the river and to the archeological site.
