An ancient monastery of the 16th century restored to become a 5 star hotel. A private villa where you can find a haven of rest in a refined but informal atmosphere just a stones throw from the center of Tropea. Villa Paola is a pearl unique in its kind; the result is a mix of wisteria -bougainvillea - jasmine - palm and orange tree with a secular sea pine rising on the main terrace. The spacious outdoors include an infinity pool with a sea view; a lush garden terrace many relaxation areas both indoors and outdoors a cloister with arches a large kitchen and a lounge and breakfast room.
"It was a very pleasant stay in this old monastery that was transformed into a hotel. There are only about 12 rooms and the Standard room is quite small but with a comfortable bed and very nice smell. The property has a stunning multi layered garden and a beautiful infinity pool woth views onto Tropea. Tropea is within walking distance from the hotel but about 12min away.
Everything was great but personally the breakfast was quite simple and selection is limited. I'm not a big breakfast eater but just wanted to highlight it as some people value a 5 star breakfast buffet.
Staff is very friendly and helpful and overall the property is very well kept in shape. Definitely the best address in this area."
