We booked the Glass House long ago, and our decision was based on the pictures of the place. Arriving, it was even more wonderful than the pictures could tell. Such a hidden treasure, surrounded by nature, where you can come to peace with the environment or start exploring the neighbouring winelands. The little house is great, has a nice kitchen, a great bed and a fireplace for colder evenings. Lots of books available as well as other decorations and nice candles ! Jane took so much care to give us a food/drinks starting package (fresh fruits, filled fridge, ...) and we had nice conversations with her. She has two great assistants: Clement, helping with everything in and around the house, and always with a smile on his face, and ... Rafah, the 9 months old Golden Retriever from Jane, who was ready to play at any time, as from the early morning. One can prepare breakfast at home, or go to Le Pommier alternatively. They serve great breakfasts and the winefarm is located close to the house. You will understand that we had a splendid time at the Glasshouse, and would return any time to this beautiful island of peace between Stellenbosch and Franschoek.
