Ginny, Megan and the Team were exceptional! Had an efficient booking, check-in and settling in with follow-up checks to see all was well. Check-out was a breeze too! Their ginger cat, the chicken and the family of 5 peacocks were so friendly too! They'd walk around us daily like we were family. The bed & pillows were really comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and the water pressure & temperature was on point! The breakfast service was awesome with the kitchen team preparing fresh meals from the freshest local produce available. As a vegan I was definitely taken care of. As a coffee lover, had the most amazing Nespresso coffee variety with one of the best coffee machines I've seen and that too coupled with a choice of oat milk & almond milk whenever it was required! Been ages since I swam in a hotel pool and had a great time with my nephews & friends. Fresh clean towels for all users of the pool! A pool with a view!

It was such a treat to be at Sugarbird Manor for 7 nights. I was in Room 14 which has recently been renovated to a very high standard on the ground floor of the main section of the guesthouse. Everything was uber clean, comfortable and secure and I could access the pool area directly from my room. There is a well equipped small gym, and also a spa treatment suite on the property (treatments are at extra cost). We used Sugarbird as a base to tour the wine estates in the Stellenbosch area as it's well located for this purpose.

There are two things about Sugarbird which really stood out. The first is the incredible property with beautiful nature and stunning views of Stellenbosch vineyards and mountains. The second was the incredible hospitality and service from the hotel staff- specifically Megan. Megan always had a smile and great local recommendation to share, and always went out of her way to make our stay memorable.

Beautiful fields. Amazing views. We arrived at 5pm after some traffic so the introduction was quick as the lady was finishing her day. We had suite nr 8, nice bathroom with a big bath and an amazing view. No balcony unfortunately. Be ware of the panic button, I was looking for the light and didn’t know what it was! The children had cottages nr 2 & 4. We don’t recommend nr 2 as your view is on the street but is spacious, there is a kitchen and is very well decorated. The resort has 3 little swimming pools, choose the one with comfortable sunbeds because the wooden ones don’t have a matrassen and are way too hard. Megan at the reception recommended some good addresses for restaurants and wine tours.

Ginny and the team are exceptionally welcoming. The property and view are so lovely. We stayed in a garden guest house, all modern amenities. Highly recommend.

Beautiful spot - lovely rooms, great breakfast, very welcoming. Pool was fresh, but nice. And you can have a wander or run in the vineyard and protea farm with the mountains overlooking. Great early in the morning. Spier wine a lovely evening visit with the family.

I would highly recommend Sugarbird Manor for the attention to detail, the clean rooms, the healthy choice of breakfast, the breathtaking views. Really a wonderful get away experience. Will definitely be returning.

Beautifully setting and luxurious accommodation. Excellent food and very helpful staff. Reception staff had great suggestion on where to visit and specific events that were taking place. Very big and extremely comfy beds. Nice pool too with a great view
