Best Hotels near Biblioteca Comunale, Stezzano

Stayed here for two nights. Had stayed before in the “old town” area of Bergamo which was lovely. This area would be considered “run down”. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the main town for coffee shops, restaurants etc. Previous reviews commented how welcoming, friendly, helpful etc the reception staff were but I didn’t get that experience. Reception area is right inside the door so it can be crowded arriving and leaving with luggage, prams etc. Room was adequately spaced. Could have been given extra towels (three for a single room is basic), also needed a fridge and water glasses etc in the room. Floors could have been hoovered so make sure you wear slippers (not included in the room)! Didn’t include breakfast in my stay and glad I didn’t cos the selection looked limited. This hotel is fine for a short stay but perhaps look elsewhere if staying for longer.

This hotel are thieves, after booking me and my girlfriend to stay for three days (she’s not from Italy). when we presented at the Hotel Città Dei Mille for the check-in they told us that we need a “super green pass” (we’re vaccinated 2 doses and we had a negative PCR covid test) . They told us to access the Hotel Città Dei Mille you need to have the third dose, but the Hotel Città Dei Mille didn’t tell us this before coming neither the booking website it wasn’t written anywhere we checked many times in front of them. so we looked for another place to stay, when we asked for a reimbursement the Hotel Città Dei Mille said they don’t reimburse FOR NON PRESENTATION. Shame on you Hotel Città Dei Mille Bergamo Lombardia Italia, this not a good customer service at all if you have economic problems don’t take it from your client’s pocket. The reimbursement amount we asked for was just 200€ Have a nice day

Great service, Francesca went out her way to make my brief stay ever so more enjoyable. The room was very clean, large and well appointed, the breakfast was fresh and comprehensive, the coffee was really good

I expected from the photos much more than this. The hotel is nice and quiet, the mattress quite comfortable but ... I arrived just past midnight from Orio al Serio Airport, I walked to the hotel, it is just 1,43 km from the airport. Taxi takes 15 € minimum charge so why not. At the hotel a man and young woman did not even say hi or well come, just took my reservation and stoned faces. I asked, can I get room umber one as I requested in in the reservation form. No you cannot, you have booked superior double room the man said almost with anger. I said, but I wrote the note as I was requested on the previous trip 2 weeks before by the hotel manager. No you can not he repeated. I said, why you have not read my note on the reservation? No reply. I asked why I should pay 15 € more for the room 47 when I asked room number 1, where I had stayed. Their English was very poor. I ask the young woman, do you have any painkiller medicine as I have terrible head ace after traveling from North Europe all day. No we do not have she said. I said, you are a hotel you must have some first aid kit if something happens with customers, no she said so unfriendly way. I told them, this the very last time I stay here, this was my fourth time in 1,5 months. In the morning usual breakfast in the next door restaurant. Typical poor continental breakfast, even service was good. If one pays 85-100 € for one night, hotel must provide better breakfast. In the morning I told the manager what happened at night. He was sorry and said, we read the notes on reservation nest time. Too late I never stay in this hotel, there was NO service at all!

Facilities: The facilities are very new, with switches for delay lighting and extinguishing functions. The heating in the public area and the room is very sufficient, and a single coat can be fully opened in the room. Hygienic: The room was cleaned very clean and very satisfied Environment: The location is very good, very close to the top of the mountain, not far from the core of the old city in the upper city. Service: The front desk and restaurant brother are very good, very humorous and talkative

Good points - communal areas clean and tidy. Vitoria on reception nice. Large bedroom looked like it was recently Decorated. Big bed and soft pillows. Enough electric sockets. Good shower. Soundproof, although there's always someone who has to slam their door. Breakfast good. All the usual. Bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, fruit eggs etc. Bit manic at times. Bad points. Bedroom wasn't cleaned and bed wasn't made one day. Another day we weren't left with a spare toilet roll. Our towels were never folded and just left in a heap on the rail. Never given any milk in room for coffee. We haf a shared balcony, but if we went on it, you could see staight into another bedroom, on the corner. Thick slimy brown muck at bottom of shower. It was never clear off in the 9 nights we were there. Without effort, I cleared a bit off with a tissue. It was disgusting. Area is good and not run down considering its by the station

The taxis didn’t pay the meter. Several drivers asked whether the hotel was in Bergamo or out of Bergamo. As Luca didn’t provide detailed information about the city area, I thought it was close to Bergamo Airport and I thought it was in Bergamo. The worst hotels I have ever found in my life, not so much for the look, but for staff and management. We book for Easter 3 rooms of which 2 triple plus 3 culles and 1 single with dinner included, we arrive in the morning where a boy at the reception confirms that dinner was there despite all the scripts that Sunday was closed. At 19:00 we go down for dinner and nobody considers us, we wait almost 40 minutes and decide to address the girl in the reception who tells us that the restaurant is closed and that he couldn't give us anything because he had a broken machine, It's 20 minutes, the time we're looking for a Pascua restaurant for 11 people, the girl comes back and tells us that we could have dinned with appetites!?????!? With three children under two years I don't think I agree. We sleep in 4 beds in a double bed because the cock was not given us, a hell night, a ****** absurd. We went to breakfast in the morning where a family unknown to us complained because at 1 p.m. they were forced to change not one but two rooms. We are very unhappy and we ask for a refund, a refund refused by the holder with so many lies reported in a written mail. We were even accused of having enjoyed a bottle of unpaid water, I wonder where I could have taken it, because the refrigerator bar was not present in the rooms, and we were told that we were injured during breakfast, But we were not.
