I returned to the hotel at 4:30 p.m., and the room had not been cleaned. I asked the front desk to have the room cleaned, provide fresh towels, and change the bed sheets — basically, the standard service you would expect from a hotel.
Two hours later, I returned to the room, and everything was still exactly the same. Nobody had done anything.
I went back to the front desk to complain again. When I returned to the room, a man eventually came up, but all he did was hand me a couple of clean towels. He did not change the bed sheets, clean the bathroom, or clean the room at all. He simply left the towels and walked away.
What kind of service and cleanliness is this? Is the hotel cutting costs by reducing housekeeping staff? And what about basic hygiene and cleanliness? This is certainly not the level of service a hotel guest should expect.
