STF Långholmen Hostel

It's definitely worth 5 stars, but the extra charges for bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, and bath towels were a bit unsettling. The hotel is converted from an old prison, and the interior design is very creative, with a prison theme. There are many exhibitions and artworks related to this history inside the hotel. There's a body of water right outside the main entrance, perfect for a walk, and parking is convenient. The breakfast is excellent, and the facilities are superb. Sheets for each person are unnecessary when we stay in a room with a double bed.

It is a nice hotel. It is educational for children. You have spacious rooms (the family rooms), and the hotel is a former prison where the rooms used to be the cells. The breakfast is tasty; you can choose from various types of food from Sweden itself, but also food from abroad (for example: they had Kneckenbreud, no idea how to spell it, and they had pancakes). The location is beautiful, and there are many things to do, such as an amusement park, a zoo, the ABBA museum, and the natural history museum. They also have nice restaurants around the hotel, such as an Italian restaurant and a kebab shop. We were there for New Year's Eve; Skansen is highly recommended, as you have a good view of the city from there with the beautiful fireworks.
