GGuest UserEtt hem was part of the reason that we came to Stockholm!! We were very excited to come stay here as we have heard such great things from friends. The whole concept is that it’s a home, and it really did feel like that! It felt as though we were staying at a friends home, where we can roam around all of the shared areas and spend time anywhere, in the living room, lounges, library, garden etc. The space was designed by a famous interior designer. Our room was an attic room that was quite beautiful. We also opted to have dinner at the house; the menu changes daily depending on what the chef orders in, and on our night it was delicious. We also used their spa room / sauna which was very enjoyable. My only comment is that while the staff were all very friendly and nice, they were not always available to be found. At times I would need something and go to the main check in counter and there wouldn’t be anyone there, and I would have to roam around the house looking for someone. Same goes for the entrance. You have to ring the bell every time you come back to Ett Hem and on a few occasions, no one answered the door bell or they answered but didn’t follow up / open the door / or come to get us. I understand it’s a part of the casual home feel, but for a luxury hotel I would have preferred a little more availability… Great stay overall though!!

GGuest UserGreat location for walking to stores and restaurants. Some of the front staff were extremely accommodating and there were others who were not. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. Oscar was amazing, accommodating and very kind. He would be one of the top reasons we would stay there again! Another plus is there was ice on the main floor in the hallway and a really great rooftop location to sit on the fourth floor. Beds are extremely comfortable, but truthfully most beds in the Scandinavian countries I’ve been to are. Remember, there is no air conditioning. We just asked for another fan and we were fine. :-)

GGuest UserWe really appreciated the central location this hotel had in Stockholm. The hotel is located literally 20 m from the Arlanda Express exit and is close to major sites like Stockholm's Central Station, city hall, and many good restaurants. There is tram stations nearby that can help you get to Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace and the museum area. We liked the quiet room we had and it always seemed to be at the right temperature during our stay in December. The room was a bit compact but was packed full of stuff - we had two chairs, a large TV, a desk, a kettle and a small closet to hang jackets in. As a couple, we wish we booked the room with a slightly bigger bed but we had no problems sleeping through the night. We also wish the electrical was better planned in the room because the light switch and plug locations were not convenient - there was a reading lamp set pretty high above the bed, there wasn't a plug in on both sides of the bed and the majority of plugs in the room were under the desk space so our kettle had to be used on the floor. The bathroom was nice and clean at this hotel. They had some nice sage scented products including conditioner, shampoo and body soap. The towels were very absorbent and soft. It was easy to get hot water and the shower had very good pressure. The shower wall was not bolted to the ground and there wasn't a tight seal but water only leaked out once. The breakfast was a highlight at this hotel. They had a large dining area on the ground floor near the lobby area and they offer a large variety of items. They had a hot food area with pancakes, chicken sausage, bacon, eggs, potatoes and vegetables with all the accompaniments like lingonberry sauce, whipped cream, mustard, maple syrup, etc. They had a coffee machine, large tea selection, smoothies, ginger/lemon shots, juices and on Saturday they offered us some non-alcoholic champagne. We appreciated the variety of cheese, pastries, fruit and cold items in the breakfast area as well. It was a good start to the day each day we were here. Check in went smoothly and they have options to do a digital check in and to check out online. The lobby area had a games area, a bar and a lounge space. They also had a Christmas station setup at the back of the lobby which had candy for the children on Saturday. Behind the hotel is an Ice Bar which is promoted at the hotel. If we find ourselves back in Stockholm we would consider this hotel again or recommend it to friends and family who visit.

GGuest UserMy teenagers and I loved this hotel. It is superb value for money. As many have already mentioned, the airport bus stops close by, the subway and supermarket is also within easy reach. The room is cleaned daily. We loved the self service coffee and hot chocolate, as well as pastries. My daughter loved watching daily sunrise at the rooftop terrace. It was slightly inconvenient that we had to climb from level 5 to 6 as the lift stops on level 5, and we had a lot of luggage, but no biggie. The room was spacious (we are 3 pax) but a tad cold for us who came from the tropics. When I gave feedback about this, I was given an extra radiator for the room. We loved the breakfast. There was a lot of variety it's amazing. And also delicious. As we were travelling near Christmas, we did not realise the hotel was going to close for the holidays on the day we check out. We had intended to leave our luggage at the hotel before taking the bus to catch a flight, but found out that we had to be back by 2pm which was unexpected and we had to adjust our plans. I'd suggest this communicated early on during check in so as guests won't find their plans affected at the last minute. All in all, we enjoyed the hotel very much, and would be happy to stay here again.

GGuest UserFantastic hotel. Spotlessly clean. I booked a room without a window and it was lovely. A wall with a mural which lit up to feel like it was a window. Powwrful shower and hairdryer provided. Super quiet. Great location for public transport and walking around the city. The communal areas with lots of seating and plug sockets. Friendly staff. Self check in and check out very straight forwards. Highly recommended and would stay there again.
