Very old hotel, it is the stairs when you enter the door, you have to carry the luggage! There is a staircase in our room and I have checked my luggage twice! The hotel is very old and Swedish feels. During covid time it was easy to get a room. Good price too. Just 70 euro per person /night. Breakfast included. Due to restrictions the morning buffé was cancelled but we could order from a special menu and the quality was perfect. Must have been one of the tastier breakfast i ever had. The room was Ok. Standard quite ordinary. Not more or less. A bit worn interior. Within some year now they need to make some refit of wallpaper and paintings. Bed was great though. Wifi perfect. For us it was the location that matters. We needed to stay close to Djurgården and nothing could be better. Especially with the new gc bridge to Rosendahl castle. Staff was kind and helpful. All in all it was a good stay and it's recommendable

We stayed there for 3 months from August to November. For the 1st 2 weeks we stayed in a studio & then a one bedroom apartment. Front desk staff was friendly & helpful except for one of them who always had a cold attitude. Walking distance to supermarkets, a few restaurants and Gardet train station. Buses # 1 and 72 are just outside the apartment and so is Snabbgross which is a supermarket for restaurant but you can buy some things in smaller sizes. The apartment had a very small size freezer and fridge so had to do grocery shop at least 2 to 3 times a week. This year Stockholm didn't have summer so it was wet and cold most of the time. The heaters were never turned on inside the apartment and we asked for 2 space heaters to keep the place warm. In November the internet was down for 3 days and updates weren't provided regularly as to when service was going to be back up. This was very inconvenient as we both worked from the apartment. The dryer in the laundry room was always full of lint and similarly for the washer the soap dispenser always had soap. Whenever we used the laundry we had to always clean the washer & dryer. Housekeeping staff didn't understand English at all and depending who came they sometimes didn't vacuum or mop the floors. Overall we enjoyed our stay as it was in suburbia Stockholm rather than downtown which is noisy & polluted.

We visited Stockholm for the first time at the end of May. It was always a place we wanted to visit but had never got round to it. When Duran Duran announced they were touring again and were playing in Skansen we had to go. We did some research about which hotels were close to the concert and Hotel Hasselbacken was the closest and had great reviews. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. Stockholm was a wonderful place to visit despite the somewhat rainy weather. We were welcomed to the hotel after a long day travelling and it had a very shabby chic, art deco classy feel to it. It was vibrant but still had nice personal touches like free coffee and fresh fruit in reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was lovely and comfortable. We only had breakfast at the hotel but that was very nicely presented and plentiful with great choices available. The location of the hotel was perfect. My wife and I love exercising and used the hotel gym and took advantage of the fantastic scenic park routes right outside the hotel door. While we didn't have our children with us Skansen was obviously a great place to take kids of all ages with museums, parks and fun fairs. We would highly recommend Hotel Hasselbacken and would definitely book again if we are lucky enough to go back. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a fantastic stay.

This hotel was situated about 15 minutes from the centre of Stockholm (a number 7 tram/bus took us from the Central Station in the Centre to right outside the Hotel). We went to Stockholm to visit the ABBA museum which was absolutely wonderful! We spent about 2 hours in the museum and it was so interesting and great fun. The rooms were very retro and nicely decorated. Beds were super comfy and the bathroom was clean with a very good shower. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with so much choice. You could order a hot option which was cooked freshly.

The hotel is located near the cruise terminal, but a little distance from the city center, you can take the bus to the city center, or buy a day ticket, take the bus to the subway terminal and then to the city center, feel faster than a single bus, there is a supermarket near the hotel, breakfast is delicious The view is facing the cruise terminal, the hotel has a children's play area, there is also a table tennis table, half of the room has a sea view, but there is no room with sea view, there is no hot water, because it is very late after returning to the hotel, Did not check with the hotel, the facilities are a bit old, but clean and tidy

We booked a superior room here and let me tell you, it was very disappointing and not what we expected. At first, the lobby seemed nice, but upon closer inspection you could see various moldy and dirty spots on the ceiling and that the carpet is quite dirty as well. Overall, the hotel has probably had its best days and you can see it. After checking in, we were a bit shocked by our room. The furniture is old and has cracks and scratches basically everywhere, there were weird stains on our desk, and the floor was scratched all over. The bathroom had moldy spots in the corner of the shower, later we realized that the shower door did not completely close so that the bathroom overflowed every time we took a shower. We immediately complained about this to the staff and were shown another room but it was the same there, plus the room was even smaller and we were not offered any kind of discount, not even an apology. The bathroom has only glass walls, with a very thin, white curtain in front of it, so that you have basically no privacy. A wooden slide door which was very hard to slide since it got stuck every couple of inches at least blocks a bit of the view but even as a couple I think you like a bit of privacy in the bathroom. We did not have a plug in our sink so that we had to look down a dirty drain, and the plug we were given as an extra one was too big so that the water could not flow. Upon closer inspection we saw that the window was moldy and not cleaned in a long time, and shortly before leaving after three nights we were shocked to see that the mini bar had opened candy in it - we did not touch the minibar since we felt it was completely overpriced and obviously, nobody from the cleaning staff had touched it in a long time either. The breakfast was okay on the weekend, but could have been better on Monday (there were no eggs due to salmonella outbreaks but at least some pancakes on the weekend, none on Monday and in general the quality was a bit worse on Monday). The staff was nice, not overly friendly but not impolite. The only good thing about the hotel is probably its location, which however makes it quite noisy at night, and I am convinced you can find better hotels in this price range in similarly central locations in Stockholm. We would not come back here and cannot recommend this hotel.

First, the location is fantastic. It's a short walk to nearly everything, several transit stops are nearby, and the most beautiful park is right across the street. We ended each day with a walk through this lovely park. Because rooms are small, I went with an upgrade to a ”deluxe double,” which was quite attractive and comfortable. Bathrobes were provided along with the more usual amenities: fridge, coffeemaker, decent sized cups & glasses. Bed was comfortable. Shower had very good water pressure and plenty of hot water. my only complaint is that the breakfast seemed rather low-quality. Baked goods and cold cuts were basic supermarket level. Fruits were either underripe or overripe. Breakfast was served in the street-level restaurant, which is kind of gloomy for a morning meal. These are all minor complaints--overall, it's a great hotel.

Built out of a historic building and on the fringe of Gamla stan this is an absolute steal and a hidden gem LOCATION: Located on the island of Gamla stan and easily walkable from all key points of interest DINE + DRINK: Free Coffee and refreshments are available at the lobby level all day long for guests. Ws quite surprised by the Excellent breakfast served at the restaurant. The spread was amazing and had everything from delicious pastries to gourmet Pies. Not the usual boring stuff! And they also accommodated all kinds of dietary preferences, including Vegan! ROOM: I stayed in Room 507, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Random view of the building next door; SIZE: Very compact room, but good enough for 2 adults; AIR-CON: No Air conditioner, and can get pretty warm on hot days; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good quality cosmetics FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines, which is a super rarity in the old town. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made me feel at home and well taken care of. Loved this hotel!! Sofia was amazing and helped me when I got in and on my way out. While there Marie was also helpful! I was lucky enough that my room was ready before 3pm (check-in) and they let me in to change etc!!! Just a 10 minute walk from the Express Arlanda station, taxi ride if you have big luggage. ONLY 5 minute walk to the pier and many of the touristic options of boats and hop-on-off boats and buses there! The room was big enough for me because I was traveling by myself. With a big tv for nights in, room 14 has a huge bathroom if you don't mind having no windows and I didn't because I was mostly out and it's better for sleeping 🥳. Having two supermarkets within 5 minutes walking was great if you need something. The big church 3 minutes away has a coffee shop that is very good for relaxing in the patio area. There are always scooters and bicycles around to use in front or nearby. Come and enjoy this lovely city! The room has a small hair dryer, a kettle (coffee and tea), a huge tv, and very comfortable bed/sheets and towels. They offer liquid soap/shampoo in the shower and sink.
