You get less than you pay for. Room is nice, big enough, very clean, comfortable bed, lovely new pillows and very good quality Egyptian cotton bedding. Two comfortable chairs with coffee table, vanity table, big mirror, hairdryer. Bathroom is dated but clean.
Unfortunately my room was facing very busy street and was just above main entrance so I could hear people coming and leaving which was big issue. The main entrance was locked most of the time as hotel is in very doggy area, in Stoke on Trent city centre called Hanley. You need to ring the door bell and someone in reception let you in. If they are at the reception, specially late evening and at night. I heard a hotel guest knocking on door for 20 minutes about at 11:30 pm. Customer service is poor, staff at reception is a bad joke. Road was close 5 days out of 6 of my stay. No mention about it on hotel website. So, I paid £37.50 for hotel parking and I was not able to use it. Disgraceful. I paid £5 for breakfast when I booked a room, if you don’t book it with room is £14.50. I’m not keen on English breakfast, I prefer buffet. The choice was so poor, 6 slices of ham, cheese and 8 slices of salami, yogurt, cereals and fruit. Mini croissants and muffins. Doesn’t worth £3. I would come back.
