As I asked for hot water I was told “No, you wait until it’s fixed.” And afterwards when I tried to explain the inconvenience I was told: I hate you people, referring to my disability . When my friend asked the lady behind the reception desk what she meant, she even said: “I don’t hate you guys, I hate her sort.” Never been so baffled! Horrible place."

"Room 31 was one of the romantic rooms and was quite nice. It had a separate lounge room with a soft lounge and a good sized balcony looking out over the edge of town. The bedroom had a lovely four poster bed which was very comfortable. The room was light and airy and offered some nice touches including welcoming chocolate and a fruit basket. The window had shutters which blocked out most of the light and noise. The bathroom was very good with plenty of space, a bath and shower and excellent amenities. The breakfast buffet was extensive with hot breakfast and salmon to compliment the usual buns, cereals and yoghurts. The breakfast room had a nice outlook over the small garden. Staff were helpful and genuine. The hotel is set back from the main road via a short climbing winding back road. It makes for a quiet location. It is only a short walk to the information centre and a little further to town but the first part of the walk is quite steep. Only a few hundred metres away is the old town and Stolberg Castle."
