Wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel. The noise levels are louder than being at a concert. Maybe about time to update to some decent windows might help with the street noise. The walls are paper thin so can hear the rooms next door so clear. Very little information was granted when we arrived. The rooms are very basic and bed very uncomfortable, also had lighting issues which left us sleeping with one light on, Definitely should have read previous reviews. Price is certainly not worth half of what was paid.

I thought I had taken my time to read the reviews and there is no way I can understand why this spot has a four star rating! The rooms are very dated and old perhaps I should have paid more attention to the name of the hotel. There is one TV in the room facing the street, which is extremely loud. There is a pub downstairs to which you hear every single bit of noise every time someone slams the door. Constant music constant conversation. There is absolutely no peace at this place which is the last thing you need after a Constant music constant conversation. There is absolutely no peace at this place which is the last thing you need after an international flight There is a teapot in the room yet no water is offered. From what I can tell, there is no heating and no cooling in the room. The bedding is very basic and certainly not very warm in the colder months or days. I have been in college dormitories that were better than this and if you were looking for a peaceful night stay do not expect to get it here. The accommodations and the staff certainly were not very welcoming. Provided no information handed me a key and that was it. You hear every key that goes into someone’s door every creek in the floor and every call every conversation alllllll night long! This is a very, very dated very old building and I could not wait to check out. Oh and mind you, their checkout is at 10 AM!

The room was small, but adequate. Fine for us but wouldn't recommend if you were going to be in early as pub itself was noisy.. The room itself was clean. Bed was a small double with 4 pillows. However the bathroom had a really strong unpleasant aroma of sewage which needs to be addressed

Adequate room, a little noisy as was next to the hotel alleyway. Broken toilet seat, big brown stain on the carpet and room a little grubby. Had to walk to sister hotel if you wanted a breakfast. Staff a little curt. Close to centre without being in it.

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Food was lovely. Gammon, pineapple, peas and chips and a lasagna. Couldn’t fault the food, and inexpensive. We were given a very warm and friendly welcome by the barman and will certainly be back next time we are in the area.

The room was dirty and exceptionally smelly of drains or uncleaned bathroom floor over time. It is not somewhere I would recommend staying. We would have left straight away if we could have but unfortunately we couldn’t so we had to brave it for one night. Had to just leave the keys in the room when we left at 07:30 as all the doors to reception were locked and I couldn’t find anyone around to help. It really isn’t a place I would ever go to again.

Stayed here for 2 nights, hot rooms, noisy pub, thin walls, dodgy electrics, dirty sheets, dirty room and a bathroom that floods. Took forever to check in as apparently they didn't know I'd booked. Customer service isn't great either. The sink is so small you can barely fit the kettle into it to fill it. The lamps either side of the bed don't work unless you jiggle the cables and even then it's hit and miss. The walls are so thin that I could hear the guest in the room next to mine using the toilet. And the drains generally smelt. Over all I was hugely disappointed. Luckily it was paid for buy my work rather than me. Certainly wouldn't recommend

Was trying to charge my phone which was a charger lead length away from the seat I was sat in. A male member of staff who wouldn’t give me his name came and took it out without telling me. I assumed it fell out so I put it back in. The same member of staff then came back again instead of asking me politely to remove my charger he ripped my lead out with force and then began to raise his voice at me.
