Manchester Salford Quays

Our company booked 9 rooms at Premier Inn Salford Quays and we were truly very happy with our stay. Everything was clean, the rooms were cozy, and the location was nice and peaceful. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. A special thank you to the lovely ladies at the reception – they were absolutely amazing and made us feel very welcome. We were also pleasantly surprised by the sweet little treats waiting for us in the rooms – such a thoughtful gesture that really made us smile. Thank you for a great stay, and we’re definitely looking forward to coming back next time!

I was walking past the hotel at 1.15pm on the night I was booked in. Not due to finish work till 11pm I thought let’s check in now if room is ready. The room was indeed ready. However I was asked to pay £15 for an early check. So the room is ready, but I can’t check in without paying extra. Obviously I declined and chose to check in at 11.30pm instead. Seems ridiculous to me. Hotel was ok. If you have more than one bag then negotiating the narrow corridors and multiple fire doors is a pain. 3rd party breakfast at the Beefeater next door was surprisingly decent. You wouldn’t want more than a night there but fir a quick sleep it’s fine

Hotel is comfortable and in a very convenient location for visiting Salford Quays including The Lowry and Media City area.Unfortunately it was difficult to find any independent businesses in the area as it was full of chains and many units in the shopping outlet were boarded up. The website states that parking is available for £8.00 for 24 hours. Please be warned that this seems to be true only if you get a discount code from inside the hotel and use the payment machine. Ignore the car park notices which state that you must pay immediately using an App or you may end up paying double.

The hotel is in a convenient position and central. there is a kettle in the room and tea bags and milk etc. is provided - plus extra sachets in reception if needed. The only problem was noisy floorboards from the room above when the occupants arrived back. A top floor room is recommended!!

Our double room was exactly what we expect from a Premier Inn - clean, comfortable and easy booking / check-in. However, the Beefeater next door was a little disappointing. We chose to eat there on a Saturday evening as it was convenient after a long journey. The staff who were working were very pleasant, but there just weren't enough of them. They couldn't keep up with the serving of customers and the clearing of tables. As a result the restaurant was a mess and they even ran out of cutlery, telling us we couldn't order food for 20 minutes whilst the dishwasher caught up! It was a shame as the food was actually OK, but we felt sorry for the staff who had to deal with disgruntled customers. Weekends need a full quota of staff, which sadly they didn't seem to have.

A lovely stay at this Premier Inn. Would thoroughly recommend. The scenary is beautiful (this was not the main point of my stay, but being right on the Quays was very picturesque!). The room was lovely and spacious, and also very clean. The breakfast at the beefeater was lovely, and I appreciated the hot food wasn't a buffet style, but you ordered and it was cooked fresh. The parking outside is also really handy. Tram stop just a few minutes walk. Only slight things to improve would be the option of decaf coffee pods in the rooms, a late check out option (there was no option, even to pay extra for) and a later time for breakfast (last servings were 10am).
