Getting to the hotel from the subway station requires a bit of an uphill walk. However, the hotel itself is excellent, and the rooms are incredibly spacious. They offer a shuttle service to Universal Studios, and the driver was fantastic, providing great service and even letting us know about the last shuttle departure. If you miss it, it's no big deal, as it's only about a 10-minute walk back to the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the location was perfect, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This hotel is incredibly close to Universal Studios – you can even see it from here, it's that tall building with the arrow pointing to it. It's just a 10-minute walk away. I stayed for two nights but couldn't get the same room type because they were fully booked due to a conference. However, the front desk was very proactive and made excellent arrangements for me. It's also about a 10-minute drive to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is super convenient for sightseeing.

The main advantage is its proximity to Universal Studios, just a ten-minute walk away. However, the whole place is quite old and the soundproofing isn't great. The bedding was nice and the bed was comfortable enough, but the air conditioning was loud. There were also very limited dining options downstairs.

Super close to Universal Studios, highly recommended for those planning a two-day trip there. Parking is really convenient, and they even have a welcome message from the hotel. Nice, haha!

Location is good and is very clean and near to universal studio. We had so much fun staying at the hotel.

Full negative review of a hotel on Trip.com (L-level renovation and WiFi charges added, objective and complete for direct publication) My stay in an Executive Floor room at the Hilton Universal City, Hollywood, California, was a huge letdown. The information on the Trip.com platform page was severely inconsistent with the hotel's actual situation, misleading consumers. I absolutely do not recommend booking an executive room type. Here are the detailed problems: 1. **Executive Lounge benefits completely missing, without any prior notification; the hotel's L-level was undergoing full renovation.** According to the standard practice of all Hilton hotels and major international chain hotels worldwide, Executive Floor rooms come with an Executive Lounge. The Trip.com booking page also stated that executive room types include exclusive light meals and afternoon tea benefits. My schedule was tight, and I didn't want to spend extra money on full meals, so I specifically paid extra for an executive room, counting on the Executive Lounge for simple dining. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was informed that the hotel's L-level was undergoing full renovation, and all related facilities were shut down. This hotel's Executive Floor simply does not have an Executive Lounge. The front desk staff did not proactively inform me of this critical information during check-in. When I asked a housekeeper on the executive floor, her English was limited, and she had no idea about the relevant policies. I specifically went to the front desk multiple times to confirm, and the staff directly told me that the hotel had no Executive Lounge. Throughout the entire process, there was no advance notice and no compensation or alternative solution provided. Left with no choice, I had to pay for breakfast at the hotel lobby restaurant, costing nearly $100 USD per person per meal (equivalent to 600-700 RMB), which significantly exceeded my travel budget for dining. Afterward, I contacted Trip.com to communicate and coordinate a resolution, but there was ultimately no outcome. Repeated calls to the hotel front desk also went unanswered for long periods, indicating a complete lack of after-sales support. Trip.com offered point compensation, and the Black Diamond customer service was always responsive, but the hotel's management control was indeed difficult. 2. **Multiple extra charges for room amenities, ridiculously priced basic infrastructure.** WiFi throughout the room was not free. Basic low-speed internet cost $7.95 USD per day (nearly 60 RMB per day), and high-speed internet for smooth browsing cost $12.95 USD per day. This is hard to understand for a four-star chain hotel. The room only provided two pairs of disposable slippers free of charge. Toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided for free and had to be requested separately from the front desk. Only two mini free mineral water bottles were provided in the entire room; all other bottled drinking water was charged separately, with a single bottle costing nearly 60 RMB. The basic amenities were rudimentary, and there were numerous hidden charges. 3. **Compared to several other Universal Studios hotels worldwide, this one's service and hardware lagged significantly.** I have previously stayed at Hilton/partner hotels at Universal Studios in Singapore, Japan, and Beijing. This was my fourth Universal Studios trip, and in comparison, the overall experience at this California Universal Studios Hilton was the worst. The hotel's campus itself is relatively small, and WiFi, room amenities, executive privileges, and front desk service details were all substandard. It completely pales in comparison to the Universal Studios hotels in Japan, and even the service standards of the partner hotel at Beijing Universal Studios are far superior to here. If you have already visited Universal Studios in Singapore, Japan, or Beijing, I strongly advise against specifically staying at this hotel.

The gentleman at the front desk who checked me in was very nice. There was also a friendly old man in the restaurant. The hygiene was good, and it's the closest hotel to Universal Studios.

It was just okay. The front desk area is tiny, more like a small corridor. You have to weave through people waiting in line to get in and out of the hotel.

This hotel is the perfect choice for a trip to Universal Studios! Many guests come from far and wide specifically for Universal Studios. The breakfast spread is fantastic, and the sofa bed is adequate for a quick sleep.
