We went today for Sunday lunch, we booked a table for 5 adults. Four of us had roasts (one a vegetarian nut roast) and one a burger. All the food was excellent, tasty, hot and well presented. The staff were all smiley and friendly. Would most definitely recommend.

AVOID- Website say there is a carvery however no! Lady begging the bar didn’t understand that vermouth is served in 50 ml she only gave 25! She was rude when I asked her why not! Stater was frozen!! Had to go to the bar to get drinks Awful service, incorrect information, substandard food! Won’t be back

Nice surroundings, friendly staff. Good selection of ales, lagers, spirits and wines. Very nice atmosphere. Ideal for a quick pint, or a nice meal. Good outdoor space if weather is favourable. Live music during summer months. We had a lovely lunch.

Sunday Lunch for six on a hot summer day. Prompt order of drinks, time to peruse the menu, despite it being very busy, and 'specials' advertised on boards. Glad to note that the staff promptly advised which was no longer available, I deeply mistrust venues like this which offer an endless menu. Service of food ordered was prompt and of an excellent quality. Particularly enjoyed the fish special - follwed by a selection of ice creams at an excellent price. Really good atmosphere. HIghly recommended

We stayed at the Fiddleford Inn as a last minute option and were very fortunate to have found such a wonderful place completely by chance. What a beautiful inn! The food in the restaurant was superbly cooked and very nicely presented, while the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in the room called Rhubarb and from the moment we walked in we knew we would be comfortable and happy. Everything was perfect from the spacious bed to the modern bathroom. I've got a feeling we will find a reason to visit Fiddleford again in the future. 10 out of 10!

Awesome stay, clean and cozy room. Showers were perfect after a long day cycling. The team was incredibly welcoming and the food was top notch. I would 100% recommend the Fiddleford inn to anyone! The bar was nicely split into a restaurant and a traditional pub which created a really nice atmosphere.

Really disappointed today when I visited with my husband for a late lunch / early tea for my birthday. Website says food served from 12pm to 8.30pm monday to saturday but on checking they were serving foid we were told food is only served til 3pm and then again from 6. Added to this, when I then spoke to a staff member and mentioned the website says different times she just said 'I know, not much I can do avout that but its wrong'! Really? Can't do much about your own website stating incorrect information about your own business...thats not ideal is it!!! To make matters worse, she didn't even apologise. Terrible customer service

We stayed at the Fiddleford Inn for two nights at the end of August 2023 due to a sad occasion of attending a funeral of a friends wife. I had stayed there before but the ownership has changed since then, (and we stayed in the same room). We stayed with friends and we took all 4 rooms, another couple joined us for dinner but they were staying elsewhere in Sturminster Newton, so we had a table booked for 10 people on both nights. The basic card menu was concise but there was something there for most people but the specials board further enhanced the selection; the quality and amount was excellent. The selection of real ales and guest beers was great and I think most of us over indulged on the 1st night, the 2nd night being a bit more subdued, by way of food and drink, after the funeral. Barrie, the landlord was an excellent host, and his wife and her team of waitresses worked hard, no-one was left waiting for food for very long. Breakfast was of an equally high standard, and Barrie was very accommodating with regard to what was available (to quote "if I've got it, you can have it"). The rooms were well furnished and maintained, plenty of tea and coffee facilities along with bottled water, the ensuite was more than adequate and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for a long while. The only down side was that the Inn is quite near a main road and being a listed building it is single glazed, meaning there is some traffic noise but it's hardly a big deal. Shower gel would have been a nice to have but again no big deal. I would definitely stay here again.

Took a cross-country drive to get there again. Weather was nice for a change and it was HOT. Pub was accordingly very busy. Young lady managing the bar single-handedly was unflappable, very kind and courteous. Didn't eat there today but food looked great.
