Suining Marriott Hotel

After purchasing, I realized this hotel was built locally in Suining and partners with Marriott, bringing in Marriott's management and operations. During the National Day holiday, it was overly crowded, making it seem a bit chaotic. For instance, the public restrooms on the first floor of the hotel were in very poor hygienic condition. Hence, I only gave a 4-star rating for cleanliness. There are many facilities, such as go-karts, animal interaction, and a mini-train, all catering to families. This indicates the hotel aims to be a family-friendly hotel. However, all these amenities come with separate charges, which is quite different from the business model of most major family-oriented hotels. Therefore, I gave a 4-star rating for facilities. The best part was how quickly and abundantly the hot water came out in the room. That deserves praise.

The hotel is high-end and elegant, with attentive service and excellent hygiene. Its location is fantastic, very close to Lingquan Temple, Guangde Temple, Longfeng Ancient Town, making it convenient for sightseeing. The hotel's evening musical fountain is a unique feature, and you can also take their yacht to enjoy the night views. It was a very pleasant stay.

I feel like this hotel has been losing money for a long time, leading to poor facilities and subpar service. There were a lot of bugs inside the curtain box when I was sleeping at night. The small train isn't free, and many of the seats are broken. When I checked in, the door lock was broken, and the hotel wasn't prepared for the holiday season.

The pillows look just like the picture, but they flattened and deformed after I slept on them. There were also flies constantly buzzing around the room.

The staff at check-in were incredibly enthusiastic and explained everything clearly. Upon learning we were traveling with children, they even gave us a small train ride and deer food. The hotel facilities are relatively new, and the room was clean and hygienic. The hotel is located in the center of Shengliandao, with excellent surroundings, and it's very quiet at night. The amenities are also good; although there are some paid activities, the overall experience was fantastic. Breakfast was also abundant and served until 10:30 AM, which is perfect for families with kids who tend to wake up later. We'd definitely come back if we have the chance.

The hallways weren't air-conditioned, and shockingly, the five-star hotel pool was closed. That's ridiculous. The kids' play area is also outsourced. We brought our children here to play, only to find out it's not suitable for families. I don't recommend it.

I had been eyeing this hotel for a while and finally got to stay there, but I was a bit disappointed after checking in. The hotel was very crowded during check-in, the lobby was noisy, and I had to wait a long time. Parking was fairly convenient, both above ground and underground, and there were charging stations. At night, it was usually empty, but during the day, it was packed because of the water park next door. You could generally find a spot, but sometimes you'd have to park underground, and there'd be a queue for parking. The hotel room was quite spacious, but it smelled of smoke, and our bedding had stains. The staff's attitude was acceptable. The hotel doesn't have its own swimming pool; you have to go to the water park, which was very crowded. The complimentary ticket was only for one entry, which was inconvenient, especially since Suining can be quite hot. Also, the mini-train didn't offer any discounts for hotel guests. However, the breakfast was decent and quite varied.

An excellent hotel with a beautiful environment and a rich, delicious breakfast. The room facilities are good, and the front desk staff (especially Xiao Li, who helped us twice) provided professional and patient service.

Getting to and from the hotel was a challenge: The hotel is located on ShengLian Island, but the roads on the island were under construction the whole way, full of potholes and dust, making it very difficult to drive in. Check-in was inefficient and inflexible: Upon arrival, there was only one front desk agent, and the guest in front of us was repeatedly comparing package options. We proactively informed them that our child had a class and we needed to check in quickly, but the front desk showed no response. We were left to passively wait the entire time, demonstrating a lack of service flexibility. Frequent hardware issues in the room: The so-called river view room was located near a corner, with only a partial side view of the river, significantly compromising the view. In the first room, even after sliding the bathroom glass door, there was still a whole transparent glass panel, which was confirmed as a problem by staff on site. After changing rooms, the river view was even worse. It took another discussion to finally get a room that was slightly more central. However, in the second room, the cabinet door couldn't close properly, leaving a 2-3 cm gap, which meant light couldn't be blocked at night, affecting sleep quality. Yet, the staff dealing with the issue never proactively offered the option to change rooms again, instead directly suggesting a 'turn off the main switch then turn it on' makeshift solution, expecting me to just make do. If they had just asked, 'Would you like to try another room?', I would have understood the busy season and limited availability and chosen not to bother, but I didn't even feel 'taken seriously', only 'arranged to settle for less' out of helplessness. Insufficient breakfast stock: We went for breakfast around 9:45 AM, and while the hotel's breakfast service was until 10:30 AM, the pork rib noodles listed on the menu were already sold out. In reality, each of these was a minor issue, but I truly felt a complete lack of service.
