The Guest House Inn on Courthouse Square
"We stayed in the Rosemary Suite and it was really lovely. Comfortable bed; the jacuzzi tub was wonderful. I have zero problems with the comfort of the accommodations. This is a "you're on your own" experience, which is fine. Guests can bring in whatever they like to eat. Breakfast was supposed to be included but, as other reviews have mentioned, the options for breakfast included four single-serving boxes of sugar cereal like Frosted Flakes and a few packets of instant oatmeal. There were some apples and oranges on the table and some milk and juice in the fridge. On the website, it says quiche is available for breakfast but nowhere does it tell you how to obtain this particular meal. In fact, there's very little instruction at all. We had to dig around the house to find the guide, and it had precious little information in it. My biggest issues were that, one, when we arrived after dark, the porch light was not on. There were zero lights on in the house at all. So we stumbled into a very dark foyer and had to use our phones to find the light switches. It was not at all welcoming and we weren't even sure we were in the right place. Two, when we got to our lovely suite, it was 85 degrees. It would have been so nice if someone could have turned on the air conditioner ahead of time, as it took a few hours to cool down and we couldn't be comfortable until 11pm. Also, the Keurig in the Rosemary Suite is broken. We were able to go downstairs and find another, fortunately. I am a really easy-going international traveler, so little things don't usually bother me. Overall, this was a lovely room but a very unwelcoming atmosphere with almost no way to know what was going on."
