Aquamarine Hotel - All Inclusive

Nice experience staying at this hotel. We were 7 people (2 families). Kids loved it. It's not the best hotel, but the value for money is great. What we liked: staff, pool, cleanliness, food (most of it; pizza is a big hit at snack bar), ice cream, parking, general vibe, no towel reservers at the pool (there are still many free sunbeds available after the breakfast). Things that I did not like: AC - terrible. It was barely functioning. If you want a cool room, this is not for you. Things that could be improved: better breakfast/dinner menu - crepes was something we (our kids) were missing.

Everything was above expectations, we were a bit worried reading some reviews but our experience was fantastic. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and thoroughly cleaned everyday, the food was good, 2-3 main courses, 3-4 side dishes, fish everyday, fresh salads, veggies and fruits, we always found something to our taste, the kids too. the drinks were decent, the beer was cold and to our surprise, the pool had great water temperature, which we NEVER found in Bulgaria! The water is usually terribly cold in the pools, but not here, this was the best surprise ever. There are more than enough sunbeds, and the kids pool is fun even for adults 😁 The all inclusive part is great, you can always find drinks or a snack during the day. Quiet at night and confortable, big enough, beds. I've read people complaining about air conditioning, we had no problem whatsoever, it worked perfectly. A bit far from the beach but we enjoyed the walk everyday, it's a nice one trough the wild sand dunes (stroller friendly). The water is shallow enough at the beach so kids can safely play in. Exceptional value for money. We marked this vacation as a great one and plan to return. PS: There's all you can eat ice cream at lunch and dinner, the kids loved it even tho we didn't let them eat all they could eat 😅 and they even have animation for kids.

Very friendly hotel for families with children. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The ladies who clean are always smiling. In the bars very nice young people serve the guests very quickly. The food was not always to my liking but the empty trays are immediately filled with fresh dishes. The children loved the large selection of ice cream. A small minus there is no way to make your own coffee because the coffee served in the canteen and bars is not strong enough. Staff at the reception and security men very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a bit far from the center but buses they run quite often. The beach is about 10 minutes walk so it's not bad. The general opinion about the hotel is positive and I would definitely go back there. I greet the staff.

Where shall we start….. arrival at the hotel was interesting. First hotel I have stayed at since 1999 that still give you wrist bracelets to let everyone know you’re staying at the hotel? I’m guessing this was to also let staff know you’re staying in an “all inclusive” hotel …. Let’s talk about the “all inclusive” part. Food is included but you’re better off giving it to the cats that flood the dinning areas. All food is beige. No colour / no veg / no fruit / no fresh drinks ….. all sugar and syrup. We both got so fed up with eating junk food and being bloated we actually ate out in the restaurants most of the time. So not really worth the “all inclusive” experience. So now on to the rooms - if you’re looking for the buttlins vibe …. You got it! Broken mirrors in the Bath room, moulding bath, shower curtains (not seen one of them for a few years). No air conditioning (which was nice when it’s 32 degrees outside!) and forget about leaving the balcony door open as you will be treated to German techno rave music till the early hours of the morning. Plus we were housed right about the bar area. So no sleep for us for 3 days. The only good part was the pool area. Dark coloured tiles in the pool (so it looked like you were getting into a black abyss) no chlorine so it’s was not clean. So to sum it up ….. if you want a super cheap hotel with mould, no air con, rubbish food, sweaty beds and loud German techno music with Eastern European …….. stay here hahahaa. Definitely not returning. We actually checked out a day early and moved to secrets resort 4km up the road. Ooooh and the locks on the doors are from the 1980s …. Don’t fart to close to them or the will blow open !

Red ants crawling over 3rd floor bathroom floor. Air con didn't work properly. Not at all what you'd expect from an all inclusive. Food was pretty much the same each day - poor quality & no proper veggie options (unless you count pieces of cucumber & tomato). Sometimes served pizza near the pool but quantity (1 rectangle cut into abt 16 pieces for everyone) didn't match number of people & when it was gone, that was it for the day. Only 1 flavour, so not to everyone's taste. Breakfasts were a waste of time unless you want plastic looking eggs or moldy bread. Fridge in the room but not stocked with water or anything & no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Not allowed to take a cup of tea out of the restaurant at breakfast time so if you're not eating their breakfast, can't even take your tea to their patio area. After 1st day, ate out so didn't really get any value from all inclusive. After 1st night didn't even bother with drinks at the bar as zero atmosphere - bar staff said they couldn't put any music on. Felt that they wanted to make it as unwelcoming as possible so that nobody would stay & drink there (saving them money). 1 outdoor pool but only allowed in it from 9am to 6pm & nothing else to do in the hotel. No entertainment in the evenings (not even music in the bar area). Though some staff were ok, the majority were rude & unhelpful. Pool furniture was old & uncomfortable - one of their metal umbrella poles snapped when the wind blew & hit a friend on the head. Thankfully, they were ok. Really wouldn't recommend. Not the best location if it rains either.

Terrible hotel. The cleanliness is very poor. Beds not changed and bathroom not cleaned daily. Food is lukewarm and very little choice if you don’t eat pork. Microwave offered to warm food but it’s never cleaned. When you complain all you get is sorry but no action.
