I can’t say anything nice I’m afraid. I’m someone who requires little but this was revolting. We went for my mums birthday. The entire experience was horrible. Firstly we couldn’t find it, no apologies for lack of signage, then we had to pay for parking which is fine but we weren’t informed of this when booking just that there was parking available, the car park was VERY tight and awkwardly laid out, the elevator (1 was broken and “being repaired” the entire time) was rickety old and honestly scary as all hell to get in! It actually shook as it went up and down and the doors struggled to open! Then the first room we were given, not what my brother and his girlfriend paid for at all, was DISGUSTING, where do I even start! The floors were stained and crusty, the toilets pipes exposed and green, the bin rusty, the glass screen for the bath/shower combo was randomly fixed to the bath leaving the smallest gap to try and get in which was a tight fit for me and impossible for my mum who has knee and hip trouble and couldn’t possibly crab crawl to try and get in! The bath was dirty and stained, there were public hairs on the towels that were provided (and a poorly typed note saying that if we wanted clean towels daily we would need to pay an additional $25 per day!!!) the hot water heater was in one side of the wardrobe and rusty mouldy and all the surrounding wood swollen and flaking and the “bar fridge” in the opposite side of the wardrobe (leaving no wardrobe space) and you weren’t able to even open the stupid thing due to the tracks of the wardrobe! Not to mention it too was dirty and mouldy. The curtains were so dirty and looked like someone had smeared stuff all over them! My mum, the toughest person I know, broke down and began sobbing! I immediately went down to reception and asked who to speak to about the room. The woman, who looked the most senior, looked to the young man who awkwardly stood up. I told them how disturbing, disgusting and absolutely dysfunctional the room was and how could they possibly think it was acceptable to put a guest in that space! I explained it was absolutely NOTHING like their website and surely they could understand our dismay and frustration! Whilst speaking to this young man who was wordless and looked hugely uncomfortable as if this was not normally a part of his role in working in this horrible place, the woman began typing away, she rudely interrupted and said “yeah! And that’s why we are finding another room for you!” Then instructed the young man to show us to another room. The second room wasn’t much better but SLIGHTLY more functional. I immediately jumped online to try and find if there was anywhere else but unfortunately there were a large number of events and no hotels available other than the Hilton which we just couldn’t afford! Again this room had stains on the blanket, there were ants all over the cutlery, the aircon was duct taped, the old carpet in the top of the wardrobe, the hot water heater in o
