A cozy and comfortable hotel with a wonderful ambiance. Everything was excellent, and there was no noise pollution at all, which made the stay very relaxing. I really loved this hotel and will definitely come back again.

I stumbled upon this hotel on Trip.com and decided to spend a night here to enjoy the sunrise and beach at Surfers Paradise. We booked a deluxe ocean view room, and luckily, we were on the 19th floor with an amazing view of the entire Pacific coast! Waking up at 6 AM, we got to witness a truly spectacular sunrise! The room was spacious and well-equipped. The most pleasant surprise was finding a dishwasher and an induction hob. They thoughtfully provided beach towels, which were perfect for our trips to the beach. It's only a 7-minute walk to Surfers Paradise, making the location super convenient. The room also had a small balcony, which was very comfortable for breakfast. The hotel also has a swimming pool, and we saw many families enjoying it. There's a gym too, which we used, complete with a sauna and steam room. The only minor drawbacks were that we couldn't find the TV remote control all night, and there wasn't enough toilet paper or air conditioning in the room. However, it didn't spoil our holiday mood at all!

Centrally located with many food options around. Check in was hassle free but could be improved. The staff simply passed us a piece of paper at check in without any explanation. You have to bring your own amenities ie toothbrush, toothpaste, bedroom slippers as none of these are provided. Facilities are aged but seemed relatively well maintained. The property looks nothing like the pictures shown. Recommended to look up Accor's listing for a more accurate representation. Lifts are always full, best to stay on a high level.

The apartment was a compact studio apartment with a balcony that faced out towards the beach and had small beach views between the buildings. The kitchen was basic. The bathroom was modern. However all the apartments at the Mantra have connecting doors to the adjacent apartment. I was told they are soundproof but didn’t feel comfortable with the connecting door in the room.

We arrived at the hotel at 11 PM. We had booked two rooms. A female staff member at the front desk helped us extend our stay in the original room type. However, during check-in, we found one room was on the 16th floor and the other on the 5th, which was inconvenient for looking after an elderly family member traveling with us. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked, so a room change wasn't possible. The front desk staff advised us to check out of room 505 by 10 AM the next day, store our luggage at the front desk, and then move to room 1604 after 2 PM. After checking in, we realized that checking out of one room at 10 AM would disrupt our family's rest, so we went back to the lobby to negotiate keeping the original rooms without switching. A new shift had started, and a male manager in the lobby along with two front desk staff members repeatedly checked the system. The manager on duty sternly and rigidly informed us that we had only booked for one day and had to check out tomorrow, stating there was no information about an extended stay. It was quite embarrassing and frustrating, so we immediately tried to re-book an extension in the lobby. The hotel refused to process the extension and, in front of us, the front desk manager refused to answer calls from Ctrip customer service. At 12:48 AM, a Ctrip customer service representative used my phone to try and negotiate with the front desk manager, but to no avail. Our request was simple: to extend our stay in the original rooms without changing. Ctrip customer service was very helpful, informing us they would email the hotel's housekeeping department by 9:00 AM the next day, explaining our need to extend in the same rooms. At 10:00 AM the next morning, hotel housekeeping woke up our entire family, asking us to check out. We informed them of our request to extend in the original rooms, and after that, the hotel didn't contact us again. We are extremely grateful for Ctrip customer service's excellent assistance in the middle of the night. Despite the cold, rigid, and unyielding attitude of the hotel's front desk manager, Ctrip actively advocated for our rights, and for that, we are very thankful!

The Mantra Legends Hotel in Surfers Paradise boasts an absolutely fantastic location! It's just a two-minute walk to Surfers Paradise beach if you turn left, making it incredibly convenient for us to catch the sunrise early in the morning. There's a Chinese restaurant downstairs. Although we didn't get to try it, many celebrities have apparently dined there, so the food must be good. The hotel also has a pool, and even after checking out, you can still use it if you just let the front desk know – very thoughtful. The breakfast area isn't huge, but it offers great value for money with a good variety of dishes and fresh, abundant fruit. While it's not a direct beachfront view, some rooms offer partial ocean views, which is perfectly sufficient for those who aren't fixated on a pure, unblocked ocean front. Given that the Gold Coast isn't very large, staying here makes it easy to get anywhere. I highly recommend this place!

Great hotel sure be going again

This was our second stay at Mantra Legends. We booked the same room as last time a studio which gives you a mini kitchenette and dishwasher. Perfect for a New Year's Eve celebration as we could see the Surfers Paradise fireworks from our balcony and bedroom windows. Comfortable bed, good aircon and not cramped. The buffet breakfast was great each of the three mornings with beautiful fruits, pastries and cooked breakfast items. Would stay again because the location is close to the beach and many different restaurants.We also spent a lot of time in the lovely pool.

Cockroaches, they offered compensation before checking out but the compensation was an email saying they will look after us next time.

Staff very friendly and helpful clean as expected

The hotel required a A$200 security deposit, and only accepted credit cards! The front desk lady's service wasn't good; she only improved slightly after I got upset. The balcony had a partial sea view. It had a bathtub and a kitchen, which was very convenient for cooking. We enjoyed cooking and eating Australian steak and seafood. The room size was quite large, and the pool looked nice. There were many seniors staying there.
