Rydges Sydney Central, an EVT hotel Reviews

Hotel was 3 minutes away from Central Station via walking, convenient for trains and light rail access. It is walking distance to Surry Hills for the famous Bills Restaurant as well. For Chinatown/CBD, it is about 10-15 minutes walk, do-able walking. Room was clean and staff were courteous.

Great service, clean and location was fantastic to beautiful restaurants.

service is very good, but the location is a bit not convenient for travelers. It was a bit dark on that street during the night.

I would highly recommend this Hotel - I have to travel to Sydney regularly for Business and its location near Central Station makes it an ideal hub. The staff are friendly and the management especially -Nick Thapa are responsive to any needs or concerns. Loved my stay and also enjoyed using Trip.com for the first time to book my stay.

The facilities are good but the buffet breakfast only has a few choices. However, the overall service is great.

I was disappointed on my second stay at this hotel to find i was given a room directly next to the main lifts and adjacent to the Gym facility. I could also hear noise that appeared to either be coming from the adjacent rooms audio or assume the cinema. If i was advised of the location of the room at check in i would have requested a room located differently and willingly paid for a peaceful nights sleep. I found the room generally clean although closer inspection found the notepad in the room was filled with writing from previous inhabitants and the shower head had a leak that was dangerous as it was spraying onto the light fixture. The rooms hairdryer also appeared faulty as it could only be switched off by unplugging it. Although the staff are polite and service is good i will consider staying elsewhere when required to stay overnight in the city.

The facilities were all there and it was very comfortable! Above all, it was clean and comfortable! And the staff at the reception were very friendly!

The location of the hotel is very convenient. The central station is nearby and the area is accessible. The hotel is also very clean. Towels and supplies are changed every day. However, the road was repaired in the middle of the night on the second and third nights of my stay and I couldn't sleep. This was really disappointing!
