Suwon Hotels with Gym

The room is a bit small but adequate. Very clean. The location is very good. There is a big Starbucks downstairs. If you go out at midnight, there are several small bars where you can eat and drink beer. There is also 24/7/11. The front desk staff all speak very good English. If I go again in March, I will definitely stay here again.

This Marriott is connected to a very small mall with many restaurants (nothing fancy). The Mall is convenient and nice to walk around in. More importantly, it borders a wetland park, which is really nice to spend time in. There is not much to do in Suwon (it seems to be a business oriented city with many business people visiting LG and Samsung.) There is also a convention center and a larger mall next door. Breakfast is ok.

The furniture is old and shabby. Wardrobe doors make an annoying squeaky sound every time. The safe did not work. The room was dark, there wasn't enough light. The bed linen had stains when we arrived, so I called and asked housekeeping to come and change at least the sheet. So they did, but the new one also had some stains. I gave up. The towels are really old. I think this hotel was too expensive for what we got.

Quite a distance to walk from the nearest subway station, and the road there was not the smoothest...with many constructions ongoing. But the room was quite big. Toiletries, one floor towel, one standard sized bath towel, and four smaller bath towels were provided.

The hotel is directly connected to Suwon Station, and the airport limousine bus stop is right in front of the hotel, so the location is great. There is a department store-like AK Plaza inside the station, and there are many restaurants around Suwon Station, so you won't have to worry about food. The much-talked-about Starfield Suwon is also located next to Suwon Station, so I didn't have to worry about shopping a lot! If you take a direct train from Seoul Station, you will arrive at Suwon Station in about 30 minutes, so I think it is an easy place to get to. None of the staff could speak Japanese, but they could speak English. Many people were very kind and upgraded us. If I have a chance to go to Suwon again, I would like to use this hotel again and highly recommend it.

It was about a 7-8 minute walk from Suwon Sub-Office Station. There was an escalator at Exit 6 of the station, so it was fine to move around with a heavy suitcase. I didn't use the other exits so I don't know about them. The front desk couldn't speak Japanese, but the check-in itself was smooth and not difficult. The room was spacious and clean. You can easily spread out your suitcase. I don't think there were any toothbrushes or razors so you should prepare those. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel's facilities were good and the location was good so I was very satisfied. I highly recommend this hotel.

I can't erase the old feeling, but it is a cleanly maintained neat hotel. This was my third visit, but the parking lot was always convenient, it was raining, but it is a comfortable place to go around the center. I rested well.

The price is good compared to the surrounding accommodations, and the location was great!! There is a convenience store right in front and there are many bars nearby, so I was able to take a break!
