Hotel Indigo SUZHOU JINJI LAKE by IHG

The smart features in the room are fantastic; I was immediately impressed by the fully automatic toilet. The Suzhou cyberpunk design is amazing, even the hallways are perfect for photos. The hotel's overall style is great for dining, shopping, and exploring. Directly opposite is the beautiful Jinji Lake and Suzhou Art Museum, so a leisurely stroll is always enjoyable. Scott from guest relations provided personalized and thoughtful service, checking in daily to see if we were comfortable and needed anything. He's a wonderful young man. The chef's tasting menu was also incredibly delicious! We will definitely be back!

This time, I chose a twin room with a terrace, and you can see the 'Eye of Suzhou' from the terrace. The night view was absolutely beautiful. My child was also very excited to see the Ferris wheel and enjoyed the stay. The hotel breakfast offered many options and was quite plentiful, leaving us very satisfied with the food. Next time we visit Suzhou, Indigo will still be our first choice.

Checked into the Indigo Suzhou Jinji Lake, and the location is absolutely unbeatable – just a 2-minute walk from Suzhou Contemporary Art Gallery Metro Station. The hotel's overall vibe is 'Suzhou Cyberpunk,' blending traditional Jiangnan garden aesthetics with vibrant colors, making it super photogenic. In the room, the Dyson hairdryer was fantastic, and the B1 pool is heated. After a workout, you can even go cycling by the lake – the free bike rental is a huge plus! The Ferris wheel is right across the street, offering incredible views. During my stay, if I had any issues, I reached out to Guest Relations Manager Scott, who was incredibly responsive online and resolved everything efficiently. The service was truly reassuring.

The hotel is new and stylish, with great attention to cleanliness. The breakfast quality is excellent, the braised pork was surprisingly delicious, and the coffee was good too. The two-night package was a great value, and it also included the social-hour evening amenity. The location is superb, just across the street from the Ferris wheel. The weather was fantastic these past two days, with beautiful clouds. It was super fun to check out the Ferris wheel!

I drove to Jinji Lake for a relaxing two-day stay. This hotel is relatively new and very close to the Ferris Wheel. Both the environment and the views are excellent. When we encountered an issue, the manager resolved it promptly and even upgraded our room, which was a pleasant surprise. Enjoying takeout in the room while admiring the Ferris Wheel at night was incredibly relaxing. My family was so satisfied that we extended our stay for another night. We'll definitely choose Indigo again next time we visit Suzhou.

I chose the Indigo Hotel for a relaxing weekend by Jinji Lake, and it was absolutely the right decision. Scott, from Guest Relations, proactively contacted me even before check-in and was available on WeChat throughout my stay, handling all my requests with just a message. The hotel is conveniently located right by the subway exit – just a turn after exiting Exit 2 of the Contemporary Art Museum station. The Suzhou-style cyberpunk design is incredibly cool, with arches, ornate windows, and neon lights, making every photo a masterpiece. I booked a lake-view king room, which included breakfast. The room was 49 square meters and fully equipped with a coffee machine, refrigerator, complimentary first round of beverages, a Dyson hairdryer, and an automatic smart toilet. There was only one trash can, which felt a bit sparse. The room also had two bathrobes, though I honestly wonder if anyone actually enjoys wearing hotel bathrobes. The Dyson hairdryer and fully automatic smart toilet were definite highlights. For breakfast, the restaurant was quite busy on the weekend. Staff guided guests to their tables and asked if they'd like coffee or black tea. The breakfast featured a special noodle station with delicious wontons and noodles. The pastry section offered a wide variety of breads, all very soft and fluffy. My appetite is a bit small, and I was full after just a bowl of wontons and one pastry. The specialty Suzhou-style pastries, in my opinion, were just okay; I think the pastry shops in the city center would offer better options.

I had high hopes for my stay at the Indigo Jinji Lake, but overall, it was a very disappointing experience and definitely didn't live up to the standards of a five-star hotel. While I paid five-star prices, the facilities felt more like a typical business hotel. The room was on the small side, the amenities were outdated, and there was a significant disparity in the overall hardware quality. The service experience was also subpar. When checking out, I was struggling with multiple bags coming from the sixth floor, and the staff present simply watched without offering any assistance with my luggage. I barely felt any of the service consciousness you'd expect from a five-star hotel. Breakfast quality was also uninspiring; both the variety and presentation were quite ordinary. The location is indeed good, but considering the hardware, service, and dining, the value for money is very low. I won't be staying here again and wouldn't recommend it.

The butler contacted me a day in advance, and Scott was very responsive to guest needs. We were upgraded to a room type with a view of the Ferris wheel at night, so we got to enjoy both rainy and sunny views of it. I especially loved the bakery items at breakfast, and there was even a food-related book in the room, which as a huge fan of baked goods, I absolutely adored! I suggest adding more parent-child activities, as that would likely make the hotel even more popular.

Dyson hair dryers and smart toilets were a nice touch, and being right at the subway exit made it perfect.
