It was just okay. Aside from the spacious rooms and decent service, this was the worst Atour hotel I've ever stayed at. The 2.5 stars are for the front desk staff and the other female staff I encountered; otherwise, I might have given it a one-star review.
This Atour hotel has the worst soundproofing I've ever experienced. I was woken up countless times in the early morning. My friend and I are considered heavy sleepers, but there were inexplicable sounds of tapping pipes and running water in the middle of the night. Not to mention the sound of doors closing—we could hear it clearly right next to the bed. It was incredibly noisy. Unable to bear it any longer, I called the front desk to complain. Ten minutes later, they called back saying the guests next door were making noise and they had already spoken to them. However, less than half an hour later, the noise was back. My sleep was extremely poor, contrary to Atour's advertising.
The cleanliness was also mediocre. The bedding was okay, but the tabletops weren't cleaned properly. I noticed watermarks on the table as soon as I arrived in the room, and the promotional cardboard above the bed had cigarette ash and burn marks—very obvious, but they hadn't been replaced.
I always choose Atour when I travel to a new city, but this is the only one where I couldn't sleep well and felt compelled to write a review.
