My recent stay at the Atour Hotel Huaihai Street, Lion Mountain, in the Suzhou New District, from March 2 to March 3, 2024, was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with the utmost warmth and professionalism, making me feel immediately welcomed. The hotel's location is superb, nestled in a vibrant area that boasts a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern convenience. The room I was allocated was impeccably clean, spacious, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed that guaranteed a good night's sleep. The view of Lion Mountain added a serene backdrop to my stay, reminding me of Suzhou's natural beauty. Dining at the hotel was a delightful experience; the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of both local and international options, all delicious and freshly prepared. The attention to detail in service and presentation was evident throughout my dining experiences. What truly set Atour Hotel apart was its exceptional service. Every staff member I interacted with was helpful and eager to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their recommendations for local attractions and dining spots were spot-on, enhancing my exploration of Suzhou. Not knowing Suzhou at all, I thought I had chosen a hotel to suit my needs for exploring the history whilst still being near the modern. This hotel is ideal for both. With a metro station (line 3) Shajinqiao, within a 10 minute walk, literally, just round the corner, and a taxi ride to either end of where I wanted to be costing me under 30RMB, this was an absolute gem of a find. On arrival, the staff were very good and extremely helpful. I was checked in without any fuss, with the usual pandemic checks, travel codes, health codes and I showed both 48hr and 24hr covid tests. The room was cosy, with excellent air-conditioning, a very comfortable bed and very clean. The toilet was intelligent, electronic and quite a novelty. It even warmed my posterior whilst sitting on it! The hotel provides a kettle and 2 free bottles of water daily though there may at one time have been a mini fridge, it was not there on this visit. Breakfast is served at reasonable times with the last orders being done 10:30am. (11 am at weekends). It is a decent spread, predominantly Chinese food, rice, vegetables, meats with cooked-to-order eggs, porridge (Chinese rice style) and a cold buffet. There are delicious pastries, toast and fruit. Tea and coffee are available along with a varied selection of fruit juices. The restaurant is airy, bright and clean. Plenty of seating is available. Room lighting was bright and cheerful but could be set to 'mood' which dimmed and made for a more intimate atmosphere. On Didi App, the hotel does not come under Atour Hotel. You will need to search for Yi He Cha Can Yin Guan Li You Xian Gong Si. At the time of writing, Suzhou was low risk. However, the recommendation was for Suzhou citizens not to travel and if they had to, to show a 48hr covid test. I had a bit of trouble with getting the app to work and thanks very much, eternal gratitude, to the wonderfully patient and supportive reception staff who all contributed, made phone calls and tried their best to get the app to work. Eventually, we succeeded. That is service and that was fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel.

I originally booked a room in the park, but I changed my itinerary temporarily and stayed at this hotel. Awesome. In the middle of the night, I was thirsty and called for water several times, but they were always brought to me. I didn't order breakfast because of the price, so I don't know how the breakfast was. Will try again next time.

2024-08-01 Check-in experience in Superior Double Room 8431: There are 8 floors in the hotel. There are revolving doors and sliding doors for entering and exiting the hotel. Although Ctrip said that check-in is after 14:00 on the day of check-in, you can check in at around 8:00. (1) Location: The hotel is only 90 meters away from the "Binhe Road Yushan Road North" bus stop, which can be seen in the hotel lobby; "Shajinqiao" subway station (Line 3, No. 2 Binhe Road entrance) It is about 220 meters, but it is far away from the train station, especially Suzhou North Railway Station, which is about 17 kilometers; it can be reached by walking about 1.2 kilometers from "Huaihai Street". The specific location can be seen in Figures 1, 2, and 3. (2) Sanitary environment and room layout: The sink is outside the bathroom, that is, at the entrance of the guest room; the toilet and bathroom are separated from wet and dry areas, so the hygiene is relatively clean. There is still some dust near the TV, and more cleaning is needed. ; The room has 2 beds + 1 sofa, and luggage can be placed on the sofa. The specific situation can be seen in Figures 4, 5, and 6. (3) Hotel and room facilities: The hotel is equipped with robots*2, which can quickly check in; the room is equipped with a smart toilet and smart central control, but half of the curtains in the room cannot be closed through the central control. The hotel lobby is clean and bright, with an office area and books to read. The room is well-equipped, clean and sanitary, the bed is very comfortable, the service staff are very polite, the hotel is in a prime location, there is a subway just outside, and it is convenient to travel. The breakfast is rich and delicious, and there is hot mineral water for check-out.
