Everyone has their own price point and level of comfort. We stayed in the family bungalow, if you enjoy rustic accommodation and the feeling of the breeze between the floorboards this place is for you. As a family it did not suit our needs. The bathrooms were in need of some TLC and the pool was murky. We felt it was more a 2 star resort due to the accommodation standard in the family bungalow.

Seng Hout Hotel has expanded considerably and now has 2 buildings. Safety is slightly compromised as there is now an outdoor walkway along the windows of many rooms, with some of these windows unable to fully close/ lock - though there was no actual safety incident during our stay. Amenities and cleanliness are minimal but functional. Staff struggle somewhat with simple requests such as top up of toilet paper or additional blankets (the blanket is smaller than the bed so can be challenging to share in double beds - but additional is not available). Nonetheless, functional and comfortable stay for the price.

The location of the hotel is quite central, direkt next to the market and only a few steps away from the river. The staff is friendly and attentive. The breakfast is recommendable. Good coffee and delicious Asian breakfast.
The Rooftopbar is impressive, with a fantastic overview over the city.

Correct dans l’ensemble mais attention aux moustiques, il y en a énormément. De jour comme de nuit, ça ne s’arrête pas donc prévoyez un anti moustique performant. Le staff est très gentil et serviable, ils organisent des visites en groupes et à un bon prix. Et la nourriture de l’hostel est bonne.

The location was great, the room was nice, however the Wi-Fi did not work in our room. You also had to pay an extra $5 for air conditioning and shower heating. The staff did not really understand much English but we’re accommodating to some of our needs.

The location is 5-8 minute walk from the center and French quarter, although not bad located it’s a bit dark at night. As a solo traveler it was bit uncomfortable returning alone by foot. The receptionists are very nice and sweet. My room was clean and comfortable although a bit old not bad at all. I did have a few ants here and there. Overall for just 1 or 2 nights it is not a bad option given the price!

It’s a nice hotel, but the receptionist was not very friendly. The room was clean, but there was no hot water. Also, there is no hair dryer, so please be aware of that.
