"The hotel's ambiance is fantastic. Sitting in the lobby, I could enjoy the beautiful scenery outside. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Although the hotel is located in a scenic area, it wasn't noisy at all. Getting around by subway was also very convenient. This 'mystery hotel' booking turned out to be an excellent surprise! A special thank you to the male and female staff at the front desk who upgraded my room when they saw I was traveling with a child, and even helped me carry my luggage to the room. I'm very grateful."

AAnonymous UserThe proximity to Deji Plaza was the most important point for me. You can see from the photo that Deji is visible from the Central Plaza carpark. It's just across the road from Phase II. Value for money in terms of location and overall experience. The room is clean and spacious. Clean and comfortable bedding. The hotel kindly accommodated my request for a room with good view so I could see the shopping malls along the main road. Breakfast at level 2 offered Chinese and Western dishes/bread. Not the widest variety but it has Nanjing duck and local dishes. The breakfast suffices. Collection of delivery can be done via the front desk counter or the ******* self-collection cabinet. Hotel patrons can request for front desk to send the package to their room. Thoughtful and polite service by all staff. I was given a little souvenir (traditional Chinese accessory) upon check-out.

PPeter ortliebWe have stayed one weekend at the banyan tree. Overall we have a very diverse experience with that hotel. All staff was very friendly and this balanced towards the missing 5 star sense of service of some. Some things were a bit chaotic and not aligned. The breakfast was ok, but I had already much better ones in other and cheaper 5 star hotels in China. The western restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner. But the food was available and served in the lobby bar. The quality of the food was good. The Chinese restaurant we haven't tried, it was comparable a bit too expensive for us. The hotel is only about 4 years old, and it seems it was a very huge investment. Amazing architecture! But, the building quality is partially very poor. But still, I would expect from a brand like banyan tree and a professional hotel management to keep the hotel well maintained. This does not cost a fortune. The room was ok. But some details were already wear out. At the hot spring area, some details wear already broken and not cleaned properly. The shower was in a disgusting condition, it looks like this was never cleaned in the last year's. There was even huge mold on the glass doors! The steam sauna was smelling and far to hot set. Little helpful bathroom amenities were missing too. What we liked: the architecture, the quiet and relaxing surrounding. The hot spring water and pools were nice especially to have one at the balcony of our room. A great hotel for me is one which I would always like to come back again. So in this case? Would we come back? I must say, even though we like some things. We would not come back, especially not for the regular room rates. A pity for such a hotel, it has so much potential.

MM9272****Amenities: Good Cleanliness: Good Environment: Good Service: Good Will definitely come again! 1. The hotel's location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk to the subway station. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk service was warm and friendly, and they even thoughtfully recommended some local eateries. I'll definitely choose this place again next time! 2. A surprisingly delightful stay! The room had an amazing view, offering a fantastic city nightscape. The cleanliness was impeccable, with not even a speck of dirt in the bathroom corners. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the freshly made wontons were absolutely delicious – definitely a big thumbs up! 3. Staying with kids was a breeze; the hotel provided a free crib and safety rail. The staff proactively helped with our luggage and had an exceptionally good attitude. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, so we didn't have to worry about the kids making noise and disturbing others. The overall experience was top-notch!

XXinjingzhishuiThe hotel is located in the old city, not too far from the tourist attractions, and is easily accessible by subway to places like Jiming Temple, Xuanwu Lake, Zhongshan Scenic Area, and Xinjiekou. There's a rich variety of dining options nearby, such as Shizilou, Jiming Soup Dumplings, and Yin's Soup Dumplings, all within walking distance, which is fantastic. The hotel environment is good, and the facilities are well-maintained. The bedding is odorless and dry, and the room is clean, though some minor details could use more attention during cleaning 🧹. Otherwise, it's excellent! The staff provided wonderful and attentive service, especially the young lady who handled our check-in; her service was superb 👍👍. She even upgraded our room and gave us complimentary fruit, which was a pleasant surprise. I apologize for forgetting her name, but I'd like to extend my gratitude through this platform!!! The breakfast offers a rich and varied selection, blending Chinese and Western dishes, though the stir-fries could use a bit more seasoning. The afternoon tea on the 78th-floor cloud lounge was also very good, but the service staff there were not quite on par with the front desk, appearing a bit aloof. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. I still recommend it!

GGuest UserI was incredibly lucky to participate in the nature park and hotel's study tour during this stay, and it was a wonderful surprise! After the event, we even received a mysterious gift back at the hotel, and the adorable raccoons even offered a wake-up service. My child kept looking forward to the raccoons visiting the next morning. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with excellent soundproofing. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to take you wherever you need to go. The breakfast selection was very rich, and while the taste was decent, nothing spectacular, it really captured the kids' interest, and they were very happy. However, there's room for improvement regarding the cleanliness of the tableware. The staff I encountered at the hotel were all friendly and greeted us warmly. For families traveling with children, it would be great if bed rails were provided (though I didn't actively ask). My child is still talking about the raccoons. We'll definitely be back to experience the hot springs in the future, and I hope they'll have similar activities again!

GGuest UserThe front desk staff were professional and efficient, making the check-in process smooth. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was of good quality. The hotel's location is its biggest advantage, with direct access to the airport which is incredibly convenient. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet rest. The facilities were comprehensive, and the internet was reliable, making it a dependable choice for travel.

GGuest UserI stayed in a standard king room and was very impressed with the hotel's service! I was checking out today after breakfast to catch a train. I chatted with two of the restaurant staff, Wang Yan and Wu Wei, and when they learned about my travel plans, they immediately and proactively prepared some small snacks for me to eat on the train for lunch. This thoughtful and considerate gesture truly touched me – it felt like the warmth and care of family (I had actually been wondering about lunch all morning). The next time I visit Nanjing, I will definitely stay at Jinling Zhuanlou Hotel again, because it's not just a stay, it's coming home! My thanks again to the hotel's lobby manager (who thoughtfully called to check on me, knowing I was traveling alone), the service staff, and the cleaning crew. Thank you all for your warm and heartfelt service! I'm sorry if I caused any trouble, and thank you!

GGuest UserThe Ritz-Carlton Nanjing Stay Experience Room Type: Executive King Room Stay Experience: Quite good, especially the interior design. The spatial layout, even in a standard room, allows for a bathtub directly facing a large floor-to-ceiling window, providing excellent natural light. It was incredibly relaxing to soak in the tub after a workout. The only drawback was that a few books were placed over the charging port near the desk, so I had to move them to charge my devices. Dining: This time I experienced their breakfast and executive lounge. On my previous visit to Nanjing, I also tried D.Y. Cuisine. Breakfast: Very good, but I only took a quick look around and left, so I don't have much to say about it. Executive Lounge: This time I thoroughly enjoyed the executive lounge, experiencing five meals in one day. Without a doubt, it ranks #1 among all the hotel executive lounges I've stayed at. As the first Ritz-Carlton in mainland China, the F&B offerings are excellent. The level of refinement is truly remarkable. However, if you're not in a hurry and have time to explore outside, I wouldn't particularly recommend purchasing the executive lounge access. I'd lean more towards recommending Jiang Nan Chun and D.Y. Cuisine, etc., because even the best executive lounge only offers light meals. While the taste is decent for an executive lounge, it can't compare to a proper restaurant. All their dishes are just 'passable' in terms of taste and not worth making a special trip for. If you have the budget, I'd suggest spending it on Jiang Nan Chun Yunfu or the restaurants downstairs. D.Y. Cuisine: Last time I tried their **lunch set menu**. This restaurant offers good value for money, but I didn't find the taste of the set menu to be outstanding. Since there were only two of us dining that day, they swapped one of the desserts for a crispy Wagyu pastry, which was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Hardware Facilities: Excellent. This time I visited the gym, worked out for a bit, and it gave me a sense of Chinese aesthetics. However, Nanjing probably doesn't have much scenery to offer; the views, to be honest, were just average. I'd recommend getting a lake-view room. It seemed like lake-view rooms were unavailable this time. Overall, the hardware facilities are outstanding, from the natural lighting to everything else. Summary: The first Ritz-Carlton in mainland China lives up to its reputation. Highly recommended!

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high! The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help! The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning! The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

GGuest UserFacilities: I stayed in a newly renovated room and received a complimentary upgrade, which was great. However, some of the bathroom fixtures were leaking. It didn't affect normal use, but I hope they can be maintained. Cleanliness: The room was well-maintained, with no obvious dust or stains. Ambiance: The public areas are very luxurious with warm lighting and solid decor. Service: The front desk staff remembered my surname, and the online WeChat service was kind and responsive, which deserves praise. The self-service breakfast offered a good variety, and while it might be a slight downgrade compared to other hotels of the same brand in different regions, the taste was consistently above average. Finally, at just over 500 RMB during a public holiday, the value for money is unbeatable.
