All of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly during my stay which added to the experience. The hotel is truly lovely and the setting is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the views from the rooms and bar were amazing but it’s the high level of customer service that makes me want to return and recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Wakefield.

Very Good

GGuest UserExcellent hotel the staff were helpful and attentive. Very clean room with air conditioning which was needed as it was a very hot day, with tea making facilities and even biscuits as a kind gesture. Would recommend staying here and will no doubt book in again. Bar had a range of beers and a good selection of draughts as well as spirits available to choose from. There was ample parking round the back of the hotel. Just don't forget to put your vehicle registration at check in. All in all a good stay.

GGuest UserNeeds an update, the Carpets are dirty and tatty and walls have marks on. The laminate on the door in our en-suite was peeling from the bottom where the water had penetrated. Our room 207 was extremely noisy, seemed to be above the laundry, we had to keep the windows shut. The bed sheets were clean but the mattress was clearly a budget style and not very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty, with lots of choice, but they kept running out of things and we had to wait 4 minutes for bacon, black pudding and hash browns. Breakfast items that should be refilled constantly. It is a convenient stopover for one night and can’t complain about the price, I wouldn’t pay anymore though.
