New hotel, but unfortunately, I couldn't swim in the pool (it wasn't open yet), even though I specifically chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and the fact that it had a pool. Mosquitoes bothered me at night, leading to two sleepless nights. Otherwise, everything was fine 😂

milkway8277The hotel's location is excellent, not far from the Central Museum, and there are restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are relatively spacious, and the lobby has an old-fashioned charm. The occupancy rate wasn't particularly high during my holiday stay. With the new Marriott hotel opening, Almaty will surely have even more great hotel options in the future.

Guest UserThe room was clean and tidy, and although the facilities were a bit old, everything worked perfectly. The hotel also boasts a swimming pool, spa, and other amenities, and the breakfast spread was quite extensive, though it did get a bit crowded in the mornings.

Tomo_JPI stayed here on my last day before returning home. The location is great, quite central. The shower room has a bathtub, but the half-panel screen meant water ended up all over the floor. The room size was okay, not particularly spacious. While there was an open view from the room, it wasn't a mountain view or anything special. For breakfast, the hot food wasn't great, but the salads and cold dishes were delicious.

Guest UserThis is a lovely hotel with great charm and character in the centre of Almaty in a perfect location by parks and pedestrianised streets, cafes and restaurants. The breakfast is great. The deluxe room was wonderful but didnt have nice views. The standard single room was fine amd views better. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful but one or two could improve their customer service by being more relaxed and friendly

The hotel is in a good location with spacious rooms.
The level of service doesn't match the stated level.
The bathroom is in terrible condition.
The drain in the shower stall is clogged, and it's not fixed during cleaning.
The shower faucet closes under its own weight, requiring a hand to hold it in place.
You can shower in the bathtub, but the drain blocking valve is damaged, and the shutoff mechanism is broken. The valve is simply installed in the trap with blue tape 🤦🏻.
The valve is difficult to remove, but it can be done. The faucet in the bathtub has no pressure, allowing for a good body wash, but washing your hair is extremely difficult.
There's no ironing board or iron in the room; they are provided upon request, with a 20-30 minute wait. The ironing board is far from fresh, and a thin, multi-purpose cover is stretched over a dented metal frame, causing it to dangle in folds. There's no door lock (latch or chain), and the switch on the lock doesn't prevent hotel staff from accessing the room. Waking up to a service representative walking around the room is a real experience. I encountered this after the first night, and I've since put up a ”do not disturb” sign.
If your room isn't cleaned in the morning, for any reason, it won't be cleaned that day without your reminder.

This is the second hotel I stayed at in Almaty. It's definitely an old-money style hotel. The hotel is located near the Koktobe cable car, which is convenient for getting around. The breakfast selection is not extensive, but it's still quite nice. The past two days have been sunny in Almaty. It's a great start to the new year!

BeMa354This hotel is definitely one of the most affordable ones in the city, and it has a good location. There are a couple of restaurants on the ground floor, and a free breakfast buffet for guests. There is also a sauna and a hammam at the lower ground level. Overall, a good stay experience at this hotel.

Guest UserExtremely poor experience.
1. Room facilities were misrepresented and did not match the advertised specifications. The king suite claimed to have a sofa bed, but in reality, it only had a sofa that couldn't be converted into a bed. Adding an extra bed cost 5000 tenge, and the service was incredibly slow. I had to call the front desk three times to get the extra bed made, which took a total of two hours.
2. The room's internet was practically unusable, with a shockingly low speed of 1.07 Mbps, making me feel like I was back in 2008. Calls to request a solution were fruitless; the front desk even suggested guests go down to the lobby to use the internet, the implication of which is unclear.
3. There were only two bottles of drinking water in the room, and refills were not available. Additional bottles cost 700 tenge each. As a suite guest, the inadequate supply of drinking water was truly astonishing.
4. The locks on the connecting door between the bedroom and living room, as well as the bathroom door, were broken and could not be closed. Hotel staff seemed indifferent to this.
