📍 Mường Hoa, Ta Van

"A beautiful location. Tucked away out of the hustle and bustle of Sa Pa. Nestled in the rice terraces. Peaceful, quiet, and simple. All the dishes we tried were delicious. The food service is a little slow, but the food is definitely cooked fresh and worth the wait I thought. Everyone was very friendly and attentive to our requests. We would recommend this homestay and will stay here again."

📍 Muong Hoa, Ta Van

"Amazing place! The views on the way to the hotel were absolutely stunning, it was breathtaking! The hotel itself is located on a hill, a bit further from the center of Sapa, but that didn't bother us at all. We rented a motorbike and got around easily. It's quiet and peaceful at the hotel, and the staff are simply beyond excellent 🫶🏼. The scenery unfolding before your eyes is incredible! I would definitely come back 🤍"

"It was raining on the day we arrived in Sapa, and initially, we were a bit disappointed. However, this homestay completely saved our vacation! The room was incredibly well-insulated. The best part was curling up in the soft bed, tucked under the warm blankets, listening to the gentle patter of raindrops on the roof. Through the large glass window, we could see the entire misty valley, beautiful like a painting. We sat in the room, reading books and enjoying hot coffee and tea, feeling even more relaxed than if we had gone sightseeing with the crowds. Even on a rainy day, this place remained a paradise that made us never want to leave."

📍 Thôn Hoà, Sa Pa, Ta Van

"My Japanese friend and I stayed here from June 23rd to 25th. We arrived a bit late due to our sleeper bus, even though check-in was until 10 PM, but they welcomed us warmly. The best part, by far, was the pool! The panoramic view of the rice terraces was absolutely stunning. It's a bit far from the bustling downtown area, but that's precisely why you get to enjoy such incredible scenery! It seems like a family-run business, and they all seemed to get along so well. Their children were also very sweet and greeted us warmly. ❤️❤️"

"I finally have some free time to write a review of this wonderful guesthouse! The hosts are incredibly nice, you feel right at home, even though your home is 8,000 km away. This feeling is better than anything. You can tell the family loves what they do and does it with passion. It's been a month since I stayed, so I might not write as emotionally, but my fond memories of staying at this house still linger with me. 1. The view!!! Absolutely beautiful!! You can admire the rice terraces, the sunsets and sunrises, and most importantly, the stars! For the first time in my long trip, I saw so many stars in the Vietnamese sky. I adore the stars. 2. The room is quite empty, but you can tell everything is new, so I need a little more time. The bed is very comfortable. Everything is clean. The bathroom is large and very comfortable. There is hot water. All the amenities are there. It's like visiting close relatives. You don't feel like you're in some hostel with a shared bathroom. It really felt like I was visiting, and it's normal for someone else to use the shower. 3. Breakfast! I don't know why, but when they brought pancakes with banana and chocolate for breakfast, I was really touched. It shows that they think about and care about foreigners. It's quite difficult for me to eat noodles for breakfast because it's not customary here. And it's hard on my stomach. So these pancakes were the best breakfast I've had in a long time in Vietnam! 4. The owners are very nice. I told them I'd leave my bags until 2:00 PM since checkout was at 12:00 PM, and they said there was no other guest after me, so I could continue using the room without any problem, even staying another night! I stayed in the room until 3:00 PM. Before this, I was in a hotel where they charged me to let me into my room an hour early, even though the room was obviously empty and had been cleaned long ago. So it's not about Vietnamese culture, but about these wonderful people. Giving what you can is the best quality a person can have. There are many beautiful places nearby. There are shops. I recommend arriving by motorbike to fully enjoy the surroundings."

MT House Sa Pa - Mountain & Terraced fields View And Trekking Tour ★★★
"Our stay at MT Sapa Hotel was okay, but there were some things that could be improved. The hotel is quite far from the city, and there are no rice field views around. Breakfast doesn’t have many choices — you just pick from a few options and they cook it for you. Coffee isn’t free either; we had to buy it for 60,000 dong. The receptionist didn’t smile much and wasn’t at the front desk at night, which made it a bit inconvenient. But the view outside is fantastic, which made our stay a bit more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay, but there’s room for better service and location convenience."

"I had a lovely stay in Ta Van village. The children were wonderful and I enjoyed spending time with the family and learning more about local life. The village is peaceful, beautiful, and a great place to experience the mountains and culture of northern Vietnam. Thank you for the hospitality and for the memories. Wishing the family all the best."

"Just to clarify, we booked the cheapest room category with a shared bathroom. First, the positives :) The staff were super friendly and spoke very good English. The breakfast offered a good selection, plus unlimited water, coffee, and fresh juice. The dinner and drinks offered were also reasonably priced and tasty. You can rent scooters for a small extra charge, and the bed is very comfortable. The view is great, and there's a shared balcony. But... Location: The hotel is a 45-minute taxi ride from Sapa City (about €8-10 one-way with Grab). While you can rent scooters, the last part of the road (about 2 km/20 minutes) is nothing but potholes, gravel, and switchbacks, and it's unlit after dark (the reception also advises against driving at night). Room: Our room didn't have air conditioning (there are rooms that do :)). Since the local wildlife is very active here (mosquitoes, beetles, butterflies, and moths), you can't sleep with the window open. The door and walls aren't completely sealed, which means if there's too much light, you'll have a lot of insects in the room (both in the bed and in your clothes). Room service is available upon request, but it's not very effective; the dead beetles in our room were still there afterward. This is also an issue in the shared toilets; you unfortunately have to dodge beetles while using the facilities. Because the walls are very thin, you can hear the nearby frogs and other residents very clearly (which can be both good and bad). If you love nature and hiking, we can highly recommend this hotel. For sightseeing, perhaps not."

"We booked a stay here for our anniversary and it was the best decision. What we loved most wasn't just the cozy room, but the incredible outdoor space. We spent hours on our private balcony just soaking in the vibe. The surrounding garden is beautifully kept and full of local flowers. Sipping hot coffee on the wooden deck while watching the morning mist clear up was purely magical. Plus, since it's tucked away with almost zero light pollution, we actually got to stargaze at night! If you want a truly private, romantic hideaway where you can slow down and reconnect, this is it."

"Room was clean. Location is nice to go for hikes directly, though be mindful that most group hikes start in Sapa centre. A taxi ride from the hotel to Sapa takes 25-30m. Overall it’s a nice and quiet hotel. I ended up needing to book one of the more expensive rooms (the only one availability during Tet). To that point, I don’t think the hotel was worth price I paid, however I can imagine their basic rooms are better value and not a bad choice. I would not book again."

"The room was clean and the staff was a helpful little boy. The AC in room was broken so he offered to change the room for me. The view from the window was peaceful, feeling immersed in the life of the village. In the morning I was lucky enough to see a rainbow from the window. And don’t forget to play with the cat in the homestay, he usually sleeps under the chair in breakfast rooom."
