First - the location of the hotel worked great for us. The Aveda toiletries were nice. Breakfast was just ok - typical mid-range hotel free breakfast. They had a variety of muffins but the staff (who didn't speak English) had no idea what type they were. The big issue with this hotel is the air conditioning which was very loud and vibrated in the ceiling above the mini-fridge and sink. The bathroom was also an issue - first with the low toilet and second with the door that barely missed the toilet. If you aren't slim, it could definitely be an issue. Bottom line, because of the a/c noise factor and the uncomfortable bathroom, I wouldn't recommend this hotel or stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel about 20 times over the years. Each visit has been perfectly fine for me. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. The breakfast selections are consistent and decent. Not fine food for sure, but certainly adequate. Also, good coffee. Room views of the waterfront are a bonus and have always been clean. The only thing they should do to improve, in my opinion, is to make sure the vending machines have water in them. The hotel does not have bottled water available for guests, so they should make sure the machines are serviced more frequently. Other than that, and the recorded train horn that you have to endure the Silver Cloud Waterfront is a nice place to stay!

Had a very positive experience. Received a free upgrade for a great room with a view of the water and bay. Super comfortable mattress and pillows. Breakfast was great. The location was perfect for my work nearby.

As a previous longtime Tacoma resident 60+ yrs we decided to return to the “scene of the crime” for our wedding anniversary. I had never had a reason to stay at the Silver Cloud but this time won’t be our last. Impeccably appointed rooms, spectacular views, delicious breakfast and a wonderful friendly and customer service oriented staff. Gabriel at the front desk was delightful an welcoming. Breakfast team kept things tidy and plentiful. Thanks again for a most memorable stay and see you again soon

This hotel is always a wonderful place to stay due to its location, amenities, and how the staff interacts with guests. As far as I know, the rooms all face the water so the view can't be beat. I have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed.

We loved everything about the hotel and the area. It is within walking distance to several nice restaurants. Loved walking on the pier and watching the otters.

We love the Silver Cloud experience. Always professional staff, clean well appointed room. The pillows and mattress are amazing. Pretty good breakfast. Fresh orange juice and the coffee was great.
