Wakatake
"The service and location were good, but I was disappointed that the futon was thin and uncomfortable. It would have been more comfortable if the mattress was a little thicker."
Hotel Oyanagi
"Due to the current situation, my wallet, and my stomach, I booked a plan that cut out dinner. I was so grateful to receive a notification the day before my stay that the replacement work with "Furin-ya" was "unfinished." The bread served at breakfast here is said to be delicious, and it seems they have it delivered by "Koyanagi," a confectionery and bakery at the foot of the mountain. The breakfast itself uses seasonal ingredients, and since I stayed in November, I was served "mushroom curry." The open-air bath overlooks the town of Tagami. This place is close to Sanjo City, where the "Do it Yourself!!" holy land is located, so it's worth keeping in mind if you're on a pilgrimage. Only local trains on the Shinetsu Line departing from and arriving in Nagaoka will stay overnight at Tagami Station. Make sure to reserve the shuttle bus in advance."
Ryokan Hatsune
"A child who seemed to be a child of the inn was buzzing at the front desk! Moreover, when they entered the inn, the children went to call the staff. I was looking forward to it because the food received high reviews, but the ingredients themselves seemed to be quite cheap, so I felt like they just made it look better. Only the rice was delicious. I was very disappointed as I stay at various accommodations for work. There were reviews on various sites saying that it was dirty, but the area around the sash was not cleaned at all? There were spider webs and a rusty sink. The thing that disappointed me the most was the bath.I was looking forward to the open-air bath, but there was no hot water, and when I opened the lid, it was full of trash. After taking a bath, I noticed that I had been tested for Legionella several years ago. No going home, no seeing off. If this were the case, I should have stayed at a business hotel."
