Summit Ridge Tagaytay

Summit Ridge has a newly renovated lobby and café that create a good first impression, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was also enjoyable. However, the guest rooms appear to have received far less attention than the public areas. The air-conditioning units felt old and moldy, the bathroom had an unpleasant odor likely due to aging plumbing, and there were visible signs of wear such as chipped doors and peeling paint. Soundproofing was also poor, as noise from neighboring rooms and the road outside could be clearly heard. Overall, while the renovated lobby, café, and good breakfast are positives, the rooms feel dated and in need of a more thorough renovation.

Enjoyed our stay and the staff were amazing. If you want the best view of Taal, book their lake view rooms, it will not disappoint. Breakfast was amazing too.

We had an overnight stay at Summit Ridge Hotel as a family. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breathtaking view of Taal Lake. It was beautiful, and the room was very spacious. The bed was also soft and comfortable. Sadly, there were a few things that disappointed us. The sofa had a musty smell, the towels looked old and dark, and the handheld shower wasn’t working. The room door was also very hard to open and push, which was inconvenient every time we went in and out. We also had a hard time connecting to the hotel’s Wi-Fi, and even when we finally got connected, the internet was very slow. Our biggest issue was the noise. Even though we were on the 9th floor, we could still hear the cars outside. What we really didn’t expect was the live band from the restobar across the street. The music was so loud that we could still hear them singing until around 2:00 AM. None of us got a good night’s sleep because of the noise. We booked the hotel hoping to relax and rest, but we ended up leaving sleepy.  We just hope the hotel can improve the room maintenance, Wi-Fi, and soundproofing so guests can fully enjoy their stay.

I booked an overnight stay for my friend and her family whose from Germany and they've loved it. The price is affordable and have stunning view of the taal lake and volcano. The place is also nearby Sky Ranch and other popular cafe and resto. Thw only thing they've shared that could be improved is the noise proof of the room and if they could put deodorizer or perfume scent in the bathroom. It's understandable that its not a new hotel so a lot things have worn out but since a great place so they would really loved for thw hotel to be maintained well. And importantly the hotel staff everyone is accommodating, hospitable and nice.

The hotel is near the vicinities of good restaurants. We enjoy our staycation.

Summit Ridge Tagaytay, in my opinion, is quite good. However, there are a few things that are not my cup of tea. Negative points: 1. This is my main concern. I found myself waking up every hour, especially when noisy vehicles passed by. Although there’s not much that can be done about it, I had to wear noise-cancelling headphones while sleeping. 2. Breakfast selection is just average. Enough to get you through the morning. 3. The bottom part of the shower door wasn’t properly sealed, so water leaked out every time I took a shower. 4. The weirdest issue was with the water. The faucet water for brushing teeth and washing my face smelled fine, but sometimes the shower water had a slightly unpleasant odor. Not dirty, just odd. Positive points: 1. My favorite thing about Summit Ridge Tagaytay is the view. I love that they have a sky lounge where you can take clear photos of Taal Lake. During the day, you can enjoy the lake view, and in the evening, you can capture a beautiful golden hour. 2. Great access to supermarkets, restaurants, and many other good spots nearby. 3. Free drinking water is a nice plus. 4. The amenities are also quite good, they even have swings in the lobby.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff are commendable. Facility-wise, it’s also awesome. Thank you, Summit Ridge Tagaytay!

Overall We had a great stay. Lovely view, clean room and great staff plus the food selection -all are tasty. Recommended.
