It was my first time to choose Paradors. The feeling of staying there was great. Although I arrived a little early, I was still able to check in early. The restaurant was great. Because it was raining, we also had dinner in the hotel restaurant. The scenery in the restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious. It was also great to enjoy the beautiful scenery while eating. The room was very warm. Although it was raining, the room did not feel cold. The TV can watch YouTube and can be connected to the phone for projection. The Wi-Fi was also very stable, but unfortunately we didn't use the swimming pool on the day of check-in because it rained.

We stayed for nights in suite 109, which has views of both river and the town of Tui. The large balcony facing the town was well used, for both drying our washing and enjoying the evening sunsets! Yes, there was a broken tile in the bathroom, yes a few places are in need of painting here and there, but nothing could detract from the cosy, welcoming feeling, which remained throughout our stay. Loved it and 100% recommend,

We enjoyed our stay of two nights at this historic hotel just on the outskirts of Tui central - maybe a 15 walk uphill. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the setting is magnificent. A couple complaints. Breakfast begins at 8:00 AM, so everyone congregates outside the locked doors and rushes in. There is no kettle or coffee service, so, if you’re like me needing caffeine when awaking at 6:00 AM, no luck. Serve breakfast starting at 7:00 AM for goodness sakes. We like our early coffee and being able to hit the road early. At the very least, put a kettle in the room so I can have my instant coffee.

It was quite difficult for me to visit this Parador using only public transport. However, I felt that it was worth visiting and also confort for staying because of its history. I recommend that you visit it by car.

We had a good stay. Dinner and Breakfast were great. The rooms were comfortable. The groups were lovely and there was ample common areas for our big group to convene without getting in the way with other guests. The parador is a short 10 min walk from the old town and where many of the restaurants are.

We stayed in four Paradores during our recent trip. Tui was the smallest of the four properties. It was also the one that provided the most intimate setting – a true advertising what a country inn(parador/pousada) can be like. The Tui parador overlooks the Minho river and Valenca in Portugal. It was a good base for side trips to Castro Santa Trega and a slew of picturesque places near the border in Portugal. A special experience for us was driving across the old bridge into Portugal several times – North American drivers aren’t used to such road tolerances! We enjoyed a delicious seafood dinner at the restaurant and a very good breakfast. Staff was very attentive.

Beautiful property right on the Camino de Santiago with views of Tui above and Valença, Portugal across the Miño River. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Room included mini safe, mini bar and plenty of outlets for charging electronics . The bathroom was spacious as well. There is a restaurant on the premises serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet breakfast was excellent with enough options for all tastes.

A really nice hotel - beautiful location, great rooms, very friendly, helpful staff. Tui is a fascinating town and the trip across the bridge to Vilafranca do Minho in Portugal is a must. The only downside is that, as in quite a lot of paradors these days, there were not enough staff to handle the evening rush in the bar and restaurant. Those there did all they could but they needed more help. Don't let that put you off though. This place is definitely worth a visit.
