The long term Chinese travellers as in most hostels in Taiwan due to high homelessness is a nuisance. Alarms set on snooze every 5 mins going off from 5am. Lockers noisily being used midnight 1am 2am 3am 4am 5am throughout the entire supposedly sleeping hours. Smelly people and the spitting is awful. Piss smelling showers daily. The showers themselves work beautifully with hot water and decent power. Beds are OK but pillow too flat. 2nd floor common room too noisy with speakerphone calls. Should be banned from this communal area as its inconsiderate for others. Lockers should not be in the miniscule dorms. The rattling around of metal during sleeping hours would wake the dead. Location is decent. But piss on floors in toilet rooms and showers is unacceptable and should be cleaned. Also as with China and Korea etc expect a lot of hair everywhere. Beds have gaps throughout and can see the next person on both sides. Headboard area could be used to spy with devices as gap goes all the way through all beds through behind headboard. Scary

The lockers!!! Could have my huge luggage in it!!! It was my first time seeing such big lockers haha. The beds are comfy, though there are small cracks in between which means you can see the other person's light if they don't turn it off. Not super bright but can be annoying for some people (bring a eye mask if you're sensitive to that, some people DO leave the light on ALL night) I didn't have any trouble with hot water personally though they warn you about it. The trash is outside the room so I would recommend keeping a small trash bag if you're too lazy to move 🤭 The area is nice, the little market next street with live performance is good to hang out to! Overall good experience. 👍

Nice, quiet place in a good location. Bus stop is directly outside the hostel. Walkable distance to the night market. Room was really small but thankfully i was the only occupant. The whole level was probably unoccupied, so using the toilet and shower was stress free. We had to put the bed sheets on our own. Drinking water was provided so that was good!

Set in I’m assuming an old hotel. The dorm is a little cramped but I liked the privacy of the pods. The toilets and showers are clean and modern. The common area is a little uncomfortable - just a tables and chairs set up. Could be a little more homely. But overall for the price I it’s a good place to stay. The door on the room is very heavy so makes a lot of noise when people are going in and out

Very clean and comfortable hostel.The interior is modern. The bed and the bathroom are very good. There are complimentary shampoo and hair dryer in the bathroom. Also the price is inexpensive. I recommend you stay in this hostel when you visit Taichung.

The location is good, tidy n clean, have a big lounge at second floor, however no fridge n microwave. toilet is clean n large but hot water not stable, if price can keep low, l,wil come back.

Excellent location, just a short walk to the night market. I enjoyed a lovely evening concert by a street performer right outside the accommodation. The only downside was having to put on the bedsheets ourselves.

Service was great, room and toilet are clean! Went down to get a drink at night and people there are very chill. Would recommend especially for solo travellers:)

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Impeccable location, very friendly and helpful staff, spacious, clean and has a relaxing common area.

Hostel is very clean and there is a nice area to hang out. Only thing that I though it was strange that I couldn’t shower before check-in even though bathrooms were outside of the rooms, they were in the hallway (still took a shower obviously after cycling 90k).

Nice hostel, good location. It was a bit inconvenient for me that they closed the common area until 8 am, as I planned to use it before check out. Also the bed lining is questionable, as you only receive sheets and not a proper cover. I assume the blankets and pillows don’t get washed after every guest. I found that quite unhygienic.
