Taichung Central District Hotels

Location of hotel is excellent next to Gancheng station where our nantou bus from Sun Moon Lake stopped . Room was spacious; toilet has dry & wet separation. Self laundry is available with NT$40 per wash and NT10 per 10min dryer time..Overall a value added hotel. Only disappointment was they asked guest to signed on an agreement to follow their instructions such as no throwing of toilet paper into toilet bowl, NT$200 for extra blanket etc.

Highly recommended. The room is clean and spacious, they served free coffee and tea inside your room. The place is very convenient, can easily access to any transportation that you like, bus, train and taxi is accessible. There is also a lot of convenient stores around the hotel.

Same thingI mentioned. This hotel is a nice deal. They are located on 4th floor. Many shops around and even a tiny river park outside. When its weekend you can hear people party outside which is good. If you want shopping you can also do that. They have free water station. Near to 7/11. Close to many filipino, thai and vietnam food which is sooo cheap. Also you can enjoy the lobby because they have a piano where you can take pictures and relax. The hotel is cold also and have nice design. And the room are soooo big. They have 4-6 elevators which are fast. Going to 4th floor. Reception is 24 hours and always friendly.

Fantastic location! It's right near Taichung Train Station; just walk through Section A, past the taxi stand, go straight to the traffic light, turn right, and you'll arrive in about 2 minutes. The front desk staff are very friendly. The room decor features a refreshing and elegant 'Tiffany blue' style. The bed and pillows are clean, soft, and comfortable. There's a separate wet and dry bathroom, geometric patterned tiles, and reading pendant lights on both sides of the bed. There's also a semi-outdoor corridor with a scenic window. Not far away, you'll find Taroko New Era, LaLaport shopping mall, and the Iron Deer Street holiday market, offering great options for dining, shopping, and convenient transportation.

The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The lobby is nicely decorated with antiques luggages which makes it unique and quaint. The location is convenient and the staff were professional and helpful.

It's very close to Taichung Railway Station, and the hotel is clean. There are many great food options nearby. Breakfast is served at another Check Inn nearby, which is very convenient. It would be even better if there was a laundry room.

Chance Hotel in Taichung is exactly what you’d expect for the price of a 3-star hotel, and there’s nothing to complain about at this price range. The hotel is clean and provides all the necessary amenities. The most important highlight is the location—it’s right next to Taichung Train Station. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which makes everything very convenient. Overall, a good value stay.

More for budget travellers, it's a decent stay for that price however cleanliness of the room was undesirable with dormant dust lingering since the moment we stepped in and persisted after a request to make up the rooms. Overall location was great but the room, bed and environment makes one very very itchy. Room is quite small but at least there is a communal area for eating takeout.

The location is fantastic and very convenient for transport. I do wish the front desk staff could provide a bit more explanation and service. While SOPs are important for workflows, a little extra clarification would make the experience feel warmer. Thank you.

Environment: Conveniently situated in the city center and near the train station, making transportation easy. The hotel has a restaurant, and there are many dining options nearby, which is quite handy. Service: The staff are polite and courteous. Facilities: The hotel room was clean and hygienic, and the bathroom had shampoo and shower gel. There's also an electric kettle, drinking water, coffee, and tea bags provided free of charge. Features: There's a small gym for guests to work out. They also offer free bicycle rentals, making it easy to cycle to the park and popular attractions in the area. Summary: The room rate isn't expensive, so the value for money is decent. Cons: Perhaps due to the building's age, there was occasional water seepage on the bathroom floor, which was a bit uncomfortable to use. Rating: 7/10
