From the moment I arrived at Saiyu until my departure, my overall assessment is that while the facilities are excellent, the experience is only worth about NT$4,000-NT$5,000 per night. First, the parking lot. There are plenty of spaces, and it's free for guests until 1 PM on check-out day. However, the driveway is quite narrow and steep, which can be a bit tricky to navigate. The parking spots are also on the smaller side, so be careful not to get your car dinged by other people's doors. As for height, you shouldn't have to worry about hitting your roof unless you drive a very tall vehicle. Upon heading upstairs to check in, I noticed the pleasant and comfortable fragrance in the lobby. However, the male front desk staff member who handled my check-in lacked warmth; his expression and tone were quite stiff, not giving off a hospitable vibe. The check-in process itself was standard speed. Finally, I checked into my room. I was on the 12th floor in a double room with a king bed. The room was only about 5.4 ping (~192 sq ft), feeling incredibly cramped, almost like a student dorm room. For a room rate of NT$6,500 per night, it definitely wasn't worth the price. Regarding the room's facilities, the LG TV allowed direct access to Netflix and YouTube, which was very convenient. The bed featured a Simmons mattress, and the pillows included both memory foam and feather options, providing an excellent sleep experience. The bathroom only had a shower, no bathtub, but boasted high-spec fixtures like a Toto bidet toilet and Kohler hardware. The Bvlgari toiletries, however, were a big disappointment as they barely had any scent when used. A significant drawback of the bathroom was the *lack of a door and nowhere to hang clothes*, which made the entire bathroom experience quite awkward and unpleasant! While the bedding was excellent, the soundproofing was definitely subpar. I imagine a significant renovation, possibly involving the doors, would be needed to truly improve it. Finally, the breakfast. It's provided in partnership with a cafe. The portion sizes, quality, and taste were absolutely not what one would expect from a hotel charging NT$6,500 per night. The service was also more semi-self-service, meaning we didn't receive the full table service typically found at a hotel. To top it off, our order was prepared incorrectly, which was quite frustrating. Overall, the breakfast was a negative point and not worth the additional cost. To summarize my experience, if the room rate were around NT$3,000-NT$4,000 per night, it would be a worthwhile stay. However, at any price higher than that, it is simply not worth it.

This time I stayed at the Ful Won Hotel in Taichung. Its location is incredibly convenient: right next to the MRT City Hall Station, with bus stops on both sides of the main road, making transfers to other places easy. It's very friendly for those who don't want to drag their luggage too far. The hotel exterior looks a bit old, giving the impression it's been around for a while. However, when we got to our floor, there was a rather strong paint smell in the corridor, suggesting the hotel had recently undergone renovations or repainting. The room itself was generally clean, and the basic amenities were sufficient, making for an acceptable stay. But there are two design flaws that really need mentioning: 1. **Poorly designed bedside power outlets:** The outlets are located behind the pillows. If you try to charge your phone while lying down, the plug can easily shift or even poke your head, which is inconvenient and poses a slight safety concern. 2. **Too dark in the bathtub area:** After pulling the shower curtain for a shower, it's almost pitch black inside the curtain because the bathtub area lacks independent lighting. It's not very comfortable to use. What I do want to praise is the service at the front desk in the lobby: I asked about good food nearby, and the staff gave many suggestions with a very good attitude. Plus, the lobby space is very spacious with comfortable sofas, making it convenient for waiting or resting. In summary: If you prioritize convenient transportation and good service, this hotel is perfectly acceptable. However, if you care about in-room details (outlet placement, bathtub lighting) and are sensitive to smells, you should be prepared.

[Sharing the experience of Taichung Business Hotel] The overall feeling of staying at Taichung Business Hotel can be described as ”convenience and comfort coexist”. The hotel is located in the core area of ​​Xitun District, a 5-minute walk to Fengjia Night Market, with a variety of dining and shopping options around it, and a very advantageous geographical location. Although the room is not spacious, it is simple and modern in design, with complete facilities and good maintenance. The smart toilet and dry and wet separation bathroom enhance the stay experience. The front desk staff is friendly and communicates smoothly in English, suitable for business or leisure travelers. The only small drawback is that when there are more people at Fengjia Night Market on weekends, the street-facing rooms may be a little noisy. It is recommended to inform in advance that you prefer a quiet floor. Overall, this hotel is worth recommending for its high cost-effectiveness and thoughtful details.

A hybrid of motel-style themed suites (with garage, KTV, private pool, hot tub, rock bath) and business-style rooms (spacious, simple, modern). Located in Nantun District, about a 10–12 min drive to Fengjia Night Market, National Taichung Theater, and Autumn Red Valley Park.

Overall stay was really good, as expected from the brand. The breakfast selection was good. there is a spa and a gym both of which was a good after a long day.

Difficult to find at night. There's no signage outside that says ”Mulan” and there is no front door or desk. Instead, you walk up a driveway to find the office which resembles a guard shack. You must also let them know every time you return so that they can open the garage door to your unit, allowing you access to your room door. The room was very impressive. Huge and very luxurious. It's a lot space to clean, so I was not surprised that it wasn't spotless, but it was fine. The fish (minnow) pond was very tiny and barely noticeable in the corner of the bathroom. Lights cannot be controlled individually, instead there are set ”scenes” that you must toggle through. Some features in the room were simply not functional (i.e. the Music controls on the bedside table and some of the jacuzzi controls. The breakfast was a mixture of Mcdonald's-type food and traditional ********* breakfast. During my stay, the smoke alarm in the garage was low on battery and chirped all night. I told the staff the next day and instead of replacing the battery they simply removed it, however I could still hear chirping smoke alarms in other adjacent units. Overall it is a great value for the price, despite the few inconveniences.

There were many hotels at Chaofu road because I wanted to stay somewhere near the shopping malls like ShinKong Mitsushita and The Lin would be the best option. I highly recommend this hotel because breakfast has a good spread, the team was excellent, helpful and they tried their best in their every way! It’s a unique hotel to solo travellers which was boutique hotel for couples. But it’s so crowded which there’s a super popular not only couples but a family. Staffs were so friendly. They tried to chat via google translate apps but we got it. Clean and king size bed I got slept well and break fast service which was KFC included. Location is pretty rich and sophisticated town where only rich ppl are living in there. A bit strange but no problem with neighbors I guess. It’s surrounded with green parks and a good cafeterias around there.

Advantages: It is easy to get down from the interchange and dogs can be brought. I stayed in a deluxe room, the bed was comfortable, and the bathing area was super large, larger than the room area. There are large bathtubs, steam rooms, and shower beds. Disadvantages: I want heating but it has no practical function. It was still 20 degrees overnight. There is no dressing table. You have to stand up to blow the hair dryer on the sink. It is inconvenient to stay overnight. It is okay to rest for a few hours.
